(Spanish review below) I didn't expect it to be THIS GOOD. I don't think I can explain how good this manhwa is. It's not just the plot or how it unfolds, but the chemistry between the characters, the pacing, and, of course, the art. Although Luke and Andrew are far from perfect, especially Andrew, who has a lot of trauma related to harassment, there's absolutely no toxicity between them. Nerd Project is the perfect combination of incredible art, a simple yet good plot, charismatic supporting characters, and a wonderful couple. Luke and Andrew are opposites, but they work wonderfully together. Their relationship is super sweet and super sexyat the same time (which is rare to find; usually, it's one or the other); they protect each other and talk about their feelings and problems to find solutions together. As I said, it's not a perfect relationship, but it's very human. Although everything I just mentioned should be the standard, it isn't; in fact, it's rare to find, and that's why we celebrate it so much. There are some sex scenes, but they're not the main focus of the manhwa. At first, I was a little scared. I'm tired of finding manhwas that people rave about only to discover they're just another toxic manhwa with a weak plot and flat characters. When I started reading Nerd Project, I thought it would have a comedic approach, but as the chapters progressed, the story, the characters, and the art completely transformed. Please, if you're going to read it but aren't sure after the first few chapters, at least read up to chapters 10-15. Around that point, the story becomes more intense, more mature, with many complex emotions between the main characters. The art improved tremendously and became some of the best I've ever seen. If there's one thing that didn't quite convince me, it's the ending. I think that with five more chapters, the different plot lines could have been wrapped up better, instead of the last chapter feeling like a recap. While the main plot threads are (more or less) wrapped up, other aspects of the story are left unresolved, such as Luke and Andrew's relationships with their respective parents, among other details. This doesn't really change the main story, but I think that if they had been included, it would have made the conclusion more satisfying (this is something I see happening a lot in manhwa, anyway). Even so, I highly recommend it. I felt like a teenager reading it. It's the kind of story I wish I hadn't read so I could reread it. I finished it in about two days. ...
Luke is having a rough time in college, and his breakup with his girlfriend Stacy is not helping. This is all because of that nerdy stud, Andrew! If only Stacy didn't obsess over Andrew's dorky charms, then Luke wouldn't have had to break their relationship off! To make matters worse, Luke is then forced to live in the same dorm room as Andrew! But with nowhere else to go and no money to his name, Luke resolves to make it his project to befriend Andrew, whether the nerd likes it or not! (Source: Tapas Media)
