K no Souretsu or the Funeral Procession of K is exactly what it means ( you will understand this better when you read the manga ) . let me start off by saying this is the most surreal and strange manga i have ever read , while reading it i felt like this is one of those dreams you don't remember any thing of put on paper . Story : it's about this artist K who died but there in no body , the people who live in his building had a funeral for him with no body in the coffin when the new man whomoves in his apartment shows up and decided to have an investigation about K of his own . i Just have to say this manga is really strange , the chapters felt like the flash backs you see in movies ( the chapters were really short like 6 pages per chapter) , and there was plot development in every chapter yet there wasn't i can't describe it any other way really , the manga led me in confusing circles . art : the art is very very strange , but i guess it's some what fits the manga perfectly . Characters : no character development what so ever in this manga , the characters are mostly referred to by their room numbers or jobs , most of them don't even have proper names , the characters were the weirdest part of this story whether it was their behavior or outfits it was all just strange . overall i don't think i have the right words except strange , weird and surreal to describe this manga , i was left confused and baffled at the end . WARNING : read the extra chapters AFTER you finish the first 19 chapters of the manga , they reveal a great deal .
A resident of Room 301 in Building 67, K, had died and no one had seen or was able to find his corpse. Everyone, however, was still certain that he was dead and held a funeral for him. That was when a stranger named Mikaya suddenly showed up and announced that he was going to live in 301. Determined to solve the mystery of this far from ordinary death, Mikaya began to question the residents and as everything began to unravel, he realized that something was very, very wrong. Who is he? Where is he? Are they somehow related? These are the questions K no Souretsu makes you wonder. This mystery manga is definitely not like all the other ones I, as a mystery-loving person, have read. It confuses you from the first page on with its strange yet breathtaking art and storytelling that doesn't let go of your curiosity. The story circles around the mysterious person K, who lives in room 301 of apartment building 67, and its flatmates. After K's mysterious disappearance, the residents of building 67 held a funeral for him, during which they were interrupted by a young boy who turned outto be none other than the new room owner of room 301. This young boy, Mikaya, is the one who will ask the questions we're all wondering about the most: "You couldn't find the corpse? So you're not sure that he's dead?" That's right, the corpse of K wasn't found. So how can the people living in building 67 be so sure that he died? The residents of apartment building 67 are probably even weirder than the K's disappearance. They're all different, weird and somehow kind of twisted. How can they be so certain that K is dead? And what about K, the guy who hasn't made a debut himself yet? This is the best manga I've read in a long while. I highly recommend it to those who love confusing stories that makes you turn around in circles on and on. It's mysterious and twisted, but it somehow managed to calm me. I cannot rate this lower than a 10.
