This was a manga that was always meant to be a short two volume read, and I think that kept everything on track as the story progressed. The characters were interesting. Their predicament played out in a way that wasn't too fast or too slow with the exception of one plot point that felt a bit out of left field. It was an engaging read and I looked forward to each new chapter. I also enjoyed the ending. A part of me kind of wishes it had one more chapter to clean up some of the little hiccups but the hiccups weren't a deterrant. Ifyou're looking for a quick read that's pretty interesting and worth being its own short anime or movie, then you might enjoy this story. If you're not into time travel and scifi then you might enjoy it.
A girl named Yuki discovers a mysterious watch that stops time—and uses it to save a boy, Hiroki, from certain death. Drawn together by the secret of the clock, the two find themselves bound by an unforgettable summer. In a world frozen in time, an unprecedented suspenseful romance begins! (Source: MANGA Plus)
It's really pleasant. The art is great. The worldbuilding feels a little rushed, which is the only reason I won't rate this higher. The concept is exactly what was promised, and honestly there's a few really bizarre plotholes but the story was so enjoyable that I've opted to look past them. The protagonist is one of my favorite protagonists I've seen in recent memory. His personality is not exactly noteworthy in of itself, and he's a little bland, but one thing the story does really well is that he feels like a person who is living in the world and he's easy to relate toand empathize with and doesn't feel like a self-insert. The romance aspects are really well done, and feel really natural, and really mature. The ending is actually the kind I hate the most, but the execution of this was just so phenomenal that I ended up enjoying it anyways. 9.1/10
