Having finished the story, I found it disappointing in some ways, but it wasn’t without its strengths. While the overall message felt weak and the resolution lacked impact, the main character’s growth stood out and carried the story. The plot centers on the protagonist learning from their mistakes and striving to become a better person. This journey of self-reflection was handled well, showing genuine change and making their development the most compelling part of the webtoon. However, the execution of other elements didn’t support this growth effectively. Instead of holding the protagonist fully accountable, the story shifts blame onto their victims once the power dynamics change. This approach made it feel like the narrative was trying too hard to soften the audience’s perception of the protagonist, even going as far as framing a car crash incident in a way that downplays their actions by making the run and hit victim a asshole. The romance subplot also felt unnecessary and frustrating. The dynamic between the main character, their boyfriend, and the bullying victim felt forced and distracted from the more meaningful parts of the story. It added drama, but not in a way that felt satisfying since the bully victim got shafted in the end. Despite these issues, the protagonist’s personal growth was a saving grace. Their transformation felt genuine and earned, and it was engaging enough to keep the story moving forward. While the webtoon had its flaws, the strength of the character’s development made it worth finishing, even if the overall experience wasn’t as impactful as it could have been.
"Did I hit a man?" With a mayor father, and one foot in Hankuk University, high school student Cho Soo is living the high life. One mistake leads to a hit-and-run. "It's okay because no one saw it," she thinks. But her life is slowly cracking down when the messages of M, an eyewitness who seemed to know everything, flying towards her. I finished this very fast because It was very intense in my opinion. The story has a lot of bullying and I feel like we don’t learn any lessons from this but it’s more of something entertaining to read which I enjoyed. It focuses more on the main character’s growth and what made it interesting was how the main character was the villain in the story at the beginning. I think the ending could have been better but it felt so unfinished and I didn’t really like how the characters ended up and some conflicts ended unresolved. Art: 8/10 I really enjoyed the art andhow colorful and expressive it was Story: 7/10 It was different from most plots I have read Characters: 5/10 Not much development except for the main character Overall: 7/10 this was interesting to read on a relaxing day
