Doing my due diligence in writing a review for this (one-shot) from the Author of Skip Beat ( a personal fav) this manga is about a young boy who is transgender and a magical fairy promises to turn him into a girl if he manages to raise a plant and eat the fruits of said plant. The crutch is that the MC wants to turn because of his crush/rival who eventually turns into a friend over their bond of gardening. The translation only goes up to Volume on one (Split into "2") but there's another raw volume that I've skimmed. The story progresses a littleand another fruit it spawned from the plant, drama involving the MC's younger sister (from my limited understanding can't read Japanese) but eventually for those who want to know what happened. Nakamura didn't continue this work obviously, but from some research on some Japanese manga (forum?) websites, its theorized that the manga was mainly pulled/canceled by the publisher. Overall it was fun story about a potentially trans MC and falling in love but some (dated) terms not hitting the mark, It had a lot of potentials. But as long as you go in knowing this doesn't have a set ending its a fun read which leaves you wanting more/
Almost two years have passed since Ryousuke made his wish to become a girl. Though he has faithfully tended the plant that will grant his wish, the miracle fruit has yet to appear! What lengths will Ryousuke go to in order to make Gunma fall in love with him?! Is it possible that Gunma might actually return Ryousuke's feelings...?! (Source: MU)
