IT IS PEAK! Really wholesome and cute romance manga, it's perfect.. The story is not THAAT unique but it isn't your stereotypical shoujo romance manga - it's just a really well-paced, easy-to-read story that I think anyone can enjoy (and the couple is so cute!!!!!), the character development is also done well and it's just wholesome to see everyone being friends. If there was something that I could improve about it I would say to have more chapters!! Ok but honestly I can't really think of much I'd improve about it. The story definitely isn't anything 'special' but that's what is so great about it, it's notanything crazy or super unique but that doesn't mean it's not an amazing story (PEAK!). Hopefully this get's animated one day.. I think it has so much potential to be an amazing 12 ep anime.
Cheerful, energetic high school girl Chika and shy, reserved boy Kazuya couldn't be more different. But they have a secret: every Wednesday after 9PM they meet outside the convenience store where Kazuya works. Bit by bit, under the light of the moon, a unique connection begins to blossom in this enchanting coming-of-age love story! (Source: KiraKira Media)
Is this the best romance manga I've ever read? Probably not. BUT this manga was a good short and fun read, it had some nice / cute romance scenes and a tiny sprinkle of miscommunication between the FL and ML. It does follow a pretty generic pattern storyline though. I would recommend this if you want to have a short break in-between romance / slice of life manga or manhwa that has a bit heavier feel or you get to know a lot about the characters past. The art is different than general romance mangas, it still looks well drawn and is nice to lookat. The characters give a cute feeling. Overall I would give this a 6/10, nothing too special but still a nice read.
Despite having finished this manga nearly half a year ago I only just now got around to leaving the review, and funnily enough, my memory of it perfectly encapsulates my review of Yoru no Manimani: I don't remember the names of the characters; I don't really remember the plot; I remember there being a bit of conflict, but not anything overly stressful; all I really remember is a short, cute story about a guy and girl talking to each other at night in front of an convenience store and them slowly falling in love. And that's pretty much the manga! It's not particularly memorable or original, butwhat it does, it does well: presenting you with a short, feel-good story that'll satisfy you for a couple afternoons (or one) before you move on to something else. Then it becomes a pleasant, hazy memory. The art is similar: it won't blow you away, but it's soft and warm and compliments the tone of the story. At the very least Yoru no Manimani won't drag you along with unnecessary drama, annoying tropes, self-insert author fetishes, or out-of-place fan service. And in this industry (and genre), that's already above average. 6/10
