You know those plots where the MC is banished from the hero's party, and then becomes OP on his own? This is kinda that story, but from the party's side. What's nice is that the characters are not "forced" bad guys nor is it a power fantasy. No one is truly a "we actually hate you and you suck so leave this party" or "we were wrong and you're so strong. please come back" kind of person. Although there was a misunderstanding or two, everyone is fairly human. As for the theme, there's no harem, nor really any romance. No demon king that we know of.It's a drama based on how both sides are now going their own way and doing their best. Towards the end it gets a bit mellowdramatic, along with sudden back stories and flashbacks, but besides that I think this is a decent read. 6.8/10 I recommend it if you want to read a relatively vanilla story (there's no real malice between the parties involved) about a party that banishes one of their own.
Will exile truly weaken a person?! A do-over fantasy of a failed party! Stardust, an up-and-coming party, aims to reach even greater heights, so they expel Est, deeming him a burden. But as a result, the party is weakened and Est is awakened! In this turnaround situation, a swordsman with zero motivation and zero pride rises to the occasion! This is a story about the aftermath of the side that banished the strongest. (Source: Kodansha, translated)
