Amidst chants of "Heil Hitler," Germany's most celebrated leader, Adolf Hitler, addresses the nation. Under Hitler's leadership, the country has undergone monumental development, overcoming the humiliation of its World War I loss and growing into a fearsome military superpower. As Hitler addresses the growth of his nation, he reaffirms the importance of the German nationalistic spirit and warns against the arising Jewish threat. As he finishes his speech, Hitler raises his right arm in a final salute amidst the thundering roar of the crowd, having full confidence that he and his country will make their mark on history. Growing up in a small town in Austria, Hitler was introduced to German nationalism at a young age. His parents had opposing views on his early interest in artтАФharsh disapproval from his father and loving support from his mother. As a result, he was unfazed by the death of his father, yet utterly devastated by the death of his mother. Eventually, he applied to a fine arts school in Vienna, and to his frustration, was rejected immediately. This forced him to live on the streets, where he was first exposed to antisemitism. Though skeptical at first, Hitler eventually adopts this ideology, soon transforming into a charismatic leaderтАФand an influential one who would shift the balance of power in the world and dramatically alter the course of history. Just to clear the situation - nobody has done something like this before. And I'm not talking about Hitler and the WW2. I'm talking about the manga adaptation of his work "Mein Kampf". Now since the Japanese did take the German's side in the World War 2, it is not strange that Hitler's person is been used in anime and manga (not often, but sometimes we can see it, like in Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shaballa or Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn). But the idea of making an adaptation of "Mein Kampf" is something rare, one of a kind even, I might say. And thoughthis is a very short excursus into the Adolf's life story and with some author's remakes (like that he never wanted to be an architect - that's not true, trust me I've read the original of "Mein Kampf") this is a great outtake of some moments of the world's history. I don't put anything for plot or characters, because everything is based on a true allknown story of the world conflict, but for a unique idea and lots of efforts publishing it, this manga gets 8/10 and my approval as something worthy of reading if you're to tired of reading some average manga about highschoolers but to lazy to read all the "Mein Kampf" yourselves.
I could never think I could stumble upon a manga about the well known sick minded individual who killed millions of Jews during World War 2тАжHitler ladies and gentsтАж. I discovered this manga from the Inside Japan Tours website and let me tell you, I was hesitant to read this manga because of the fact I am reading a real life criminal mastermind. Anyways I go in and at first glance, it gives you the тАЬAttack On TitanтАЭ vibes since it is obviously about war and you get a short summary of how Hitler became remembered as the sick human of the universe as weknow him today. It shows from childhood that his father wasnтАЩt at all supportive of him becoming an artist and once his parents dies, he is gone into poverty and his anger towards the Jews grows even more. He participates as a solider during World War I and then afterwards he becomes the crazed leader of the Nazi Party. Now this manga has 4 chapters but if you want a short rundown (or not) about Hitler, this manga might come in handy. I admit it is a interesting piece that but at the same time, itтАЩs a sick to your stomach if you know the schemes of an actual dictator.
Im sorry if there was a grammatical errors in my review but I'll talk about this manga anyway. All those reviews about this manga is overrated, and hey dont get me wrong though I wouldn't consider it as a 'bad read' but it's simply something that you just read and it won't leave anything meaningful to you. It only consists of 4 chapters and not to mention it only has around 100 pages. Story : we know this was based on Hitler's Mein Kampf, the main reason why did I read this manga is because I'm curious about what is this manga all about and welpthere you go, you dont actually get to learn anything 'historical' from this manga EXCEPTHitler's heroic spirit and action to unite the Deutsche and Kill the Jews. the pacing is fast, you could see several time skips here. Character : well like what the detail said about this manga, Adolf Hitler is the only character that exist here, an awesome character and nice mustache btw. Art : the art is poor, but it didnt bother me anyway. Enjoyment : I quite enjoy this manga, like what I said earlier this is not a bad read but I wouldnt consider it as something 'good' Well if you curious about this manga as much as I do then read it, it's definitely not wasting your time but please dont hate or exaggerating this series, thats all.
If we consider it from literature perspective rather than a historical event perspective, the book is actually good. Autobiography of Hitler 'Mein Kampf' is the root storyline behind the manga. It's actually great, they described well the story of Adolf from Austria to Germany within 4 chapters. Manga shows Hitler's views on WW1, Jews and the German patriots in particular. Manga version of Biography starts with, Adolf in his younger days, how his father was not supporting towards his Art. He has been fan and master of art, still didn't get recognition form anyone apart from his mother. During his school time in Austria, it showshow they were mostly taught about Germany's history and consider it as the Fatherland. These are the certain teachings took Adolf to high level patriotism. He tried for Art school in Vienna, but denied which cause him to move to Germany, where he participated in World war. He was disappointed and angered with the loss as he learned Germany admitted defeat due to pressure and ongoing protest. He was told, Jews are the responsible as they work in high sector of government and mostly manipulate the country. On his verge to war, he joined the German workers party, and took the party from 10 members to 2000 members within two conference meeting. Later renamed it to Nazi party and by adding additional support from military, Rich and influencing personals raised the poor Germany to new height. This is what you will find in the Manga.
