Enjoyable manhwa, the story didn't always flow and felt clunky. I enjoyed the ML the most until the side stories. It gets a 7 for decent plot and very nice ML. This isn't a story I would waste my time reading a second time. The art was phenomenal and one of the driving factors for me continuing the series. I reccomend it for those who are just looking for surface level romance with cool magic themes, not an intense read with thrilling storyline. The story itself was somewhat unique but not entirely, mainly carried by magic gimmicks if that is your cup of tea.
The premise really caught my attention, but after the five-year time jump, the plot started to rush. Since birth, the FL had been segregated in the palace of the empress/deceased mother because of a prophecy that accused her of having to βabsorbβ her half-sister, born on the same day but from a different mother. Based on this prophecy, her father and older brothers never paid any attention to her for 10 years, except for a few chance encounters with no real significance, but after ignoring her for all this time, they immediately start taking an interest in her. The FL meets the ML by chance while reading aspell and accidentally casting it. Honestly, the romantic part didn't appeal to me much as I found it too forced for the development. Graphically, there's nothing to say, I was pleasantly hooked on reading it and sometimes I even stopped to admire some of the illustrations. If you want to while away an afternoon with something light, I recommend reading it, otherwise it's easily forgettable. It's definitely not something I'll reread. One positive note is that the fact that the FL is reincarnated at the end makes sense for some parts of the plot, which are revealed at the end, but this doesn't have much impact as it's not a classic Isekai where the FL already knows what will happen in the future.
"The Firenze Empire will be met with a new light and darkness, but the darkness will swallow the light and bring the empire to ruin." In an imperial family praised for their silver locks, Princess Ashtarte's unique black hair is immediately stigmatized as a bad omen. With her family shunning her for being the prophesied darkness, all Ashtarte wants is to be loved, and learning magic is her sole option to achieving that. One day, she stumbles upon a spell of destiny that teleports her to an unknown place. Waiting for her there is a boy in shackles named Abelion Elforman, who is anchored by a grim past of his own. Will these two be able to work together to bring light to their dark fates? (Source: Tappytoon)
