Nagabe is a very talented artist and character designer, and both those skills are put to good use here! While not as interesting or whimsical as Girl from The Other Side, in part because of its mundane setting at a university, it's still a gorgeous manga. I'm not a fan of vore so wasn't sure how I'd feel about the plot but it's not traditional vore (despite the MC talking about his interest using that word - it's better classified as cannibalism, to the point I would've thought the word choice was a translation oddity if I didn't know the author was active in online furryspaces) and the emotional conflict is surprisingly intense. It's not dark enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth but is not exactly carefree, somewhere midway between Monotone Blue and Wize Wize Beasts of Wizarding Wizdom in terms of vibes/heaviness. I'd actually just read Wize Wize Beasts before this and was disappointed by most of the stories for being very cliche and surface level, especially since I'd fallen in love with Monotone Blue, so I went in with low expectations. Definitely exceeded those expectations by a mile! This single-volume length suits his writing more that the single chapter or 10+ volumes where he either wasn't able to expand on something enough or seemed like he ran out of ideas partway through. The ending to this is open-ended so unsure if it'll eventually get a sequel, but it works as a one-off just fine. If you're into off-kilter and darker MLM content with BEAUTIFUL art, highly recommend!
For law professor Lufria, his image is everything. He's known as the toughest and strictest teacher around, with a zero tolerance policy for tardiness and rule breakers. But even the most intimidating of wolves can find themselves wanting the impossible. Lufria deeply enjoys observing the act of eating, though he would never make it obvious. After a shocking assault where one of his students bites him, his true desire surfaces: Lufria wants nothing more than to be devoured. Will this wolf get his darkest needs met... or will he be left forever wanting? (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)
This was a different book for me but by the end I actually liked it. Even for 7 chapters plus 2 small bonus pages, its a bit thick and long. But enjoyable. It can come off as weird for some people because of the subject matter but it evens out. Some might see this as a BL, but I see it as an odd relationship between a shy, awkward college student and a stoic in the closet professor. I am glad this takes place in college with older adult characters, and not in high school. Too many stories are and have taken that trope. Ilike the little jokes that are sprinkled in, the art and drawing is great esp. the close ups of the prof face when he is embarrassed. If the mangaka were to do more sequels I'd say he could write a story about prof lufria coming to terms with his sexuality and having a more closer relationship with gulla. But I'm glad it ended on an open yet closed note. Could there be more to elaborate on, yes, but leaving it as it ended and then giving us 2 small bonus pages is fine by me. If your into odd blossoming relationships between characters then I highly recommend you go check this book out for yourself.
