This is my third time reading this work and I simply can't get enough of it... Maybe it was with this manhwa that I started to be more interested in the story itself than in the images 😬. The story is balanced with the themes addressed (not so heartbreaking but also not happy to the point of being boring), and all the characters presented are very well developed, just as the art is soft and precise with the characters' emotions. Angel Buddy is something that is made to be read only once, but it is such a captivating story that I end up going backand reading it again. Original - Já é minha terceira vez lendo essa obra e eu simplesmente não me canso........ Talvez foi com esse manhwa que eu comecei a me interessar mais pela história mesmo do que pelas imagens 😬. A história é balanceada com os temas abordados (não tão quebradora de corações mas também não é feliz a ponto de ser sem graça), e todos os personagens apresentados muito bem são desenvolvidos, tal como a arte é suave e precisa com as emoções dos personagens. Angel Buddy é algo que é feito para ler uma vez só, mas é uma história tão cativante q acabo por voltar e ler mais uma vez.

Synopsis

To others, Sooho might appear a little strange. But to Sooho, there's much more to "life" than the average person may ever know. And that's because Sooho sees spirits. At first he thought his "abilities" were limited to seeing the average ghost here and there, but one day he witnesses a real life angel floating in midair and staring at him. He then promptly breaks said angel's wing by accident. Sooho's had many a ghost follow him around in his short life, but he's never had to take care of an angel...nor a spirit quite so handsome as Taker. (Source: Lezhin Comics)

It's cute! I swear I fell in love with everyone. I have vivid memories of seeing this comic advertised with that stupid library scene. (which isn't in there btw) Finally I got around to reading it and I loved all the ghosts they were just to cute, I wanted to hug them all. Both the mc's were adorable too, especially Sooho. I would happily be his friend no matter how weird he is. Their relationship is surprisingly healthy too. They are both such big green flags. However, all the plot lines pretty much just dissolve. No one really ever gets to hurt in this storyand the fallow ups feel a bit weak. It never feels like there are stakes. Which some people probably like. But personally I love a good story that rips your heart out stomps on it and spits in your face. The author has such great ground work for it to but they play the safer route. Furthermore, I hated the ending so much. It just makes me want to scream! The rest of the story is good. Love the art, everyone is adorable, and the concept is super interesting even though I thought the execution could have been better. If you like laid back stories with good characters I would definitely recommend.
