I found this book in a half price books book store for $5. I thought the cover looked nice so I was like "what the heck lets get it". well it isn't that good of a manga let me tell you that. the art looks detailed and nice but that is the only decent part about this manga I don't know if the translation sucks or if the story was originally this bad, but new information pops out of no where and the plot is very unoriginal. Its like they wanted to make a story that was supposed to be 5 volumes, but smashedit into 1 and left out all of the important details. The characters are kind of boring to say the least.
hy just finishing this manga i enjoy it .i found it at a decent price at a antique book store and when i read is one shot(internet info) i immediately buy it the plot is good but is confusing because they are like 3 short story-es and i was really messed up when i found out this the plot are all good is nice to see old manga-s(PL) (2003 published) and what were when i was near born they have a nice art i love the characters they made me think that we are born differently and is hard to find out that you area devil among humans. because it can happens, your insides are good and angelic but your appearance maybe be devilish and people started to judge you for that hope more people would enjoy this as i enjoy it UwU
This Gothic shojo manga is a single volume comprising three stories—a main one, "One with the Glass Wings," and two shorter stories "Firefly" and "Jion Princess"—that feature characters falling in and out of love, against all odds. There is a fragility to the main characters in each story; each is afflicted with some sort of physical and/or mental ailment—for instance, a blood disease is the affliction in the main story. But regardless of all the obstacles and interference, love conquers all. (Source: Tokyopop)
The stories all cover the same themes - a protagnist who suffers harshly compared to society (which they are an outsider to), who then falls in love with someone who suffers just as much. Very edgy, but could be cathartic for some. The translation was a bit dodgy, they could have translated "death blood" as something way less goofy, and at times the dialogue sounds a bit stilted/strange/overly literal. I can imagine it resonating really really hard with a select few people though, and this would go insanely hard if I read this at 13. NGL its genuinely a better experience if you put on linkinpark in the background. The art is pretty good atleast - its peak 2000s edgy angst moe style, and the everything feels dreamlike. Great for the art, not so great for comprehending whats happening lmao
