For a one-shot, it's simple and straight to the point. The vast majority of one-shots you come across try to compress so much content into 50 pages it just becomes overwhelming. Out of place action, cringey comedy, paragraph explanations of how a superpower works, etc. But Gokurakugai Sanban-doori no Ken does none of that. In this one-shot you just follow the characters for a day or so and see what they do for a living. The story implies that even though we only get tosee the main characters Tao and Alma go on a crazy adventure to beat up some thugs, these crazy adventures are not so rare for Tao and Alma. They've been on many of these calls to go out and do business but we as the audience don't get to see their journey before this one-shot and even after. Absolute brilliant writing in creating a foundational ground for the plot and the characters. I have my eyes on this author, Yuto Sano. I really hope his work Gokurakugai Sanban-doori no Ken gets picked up and tun into a full published manga. This one-shot is an enjoyably read to past the time, to get a good laugh and just be amazed by the artwork.
Maga—dangerous and powerful creatures resurrected from the corpses of people and animals—are behind mysterious disappearances every day. Humans and the lower-class beastmen who possess both human and animal characteristics reside in the bustling Gokuraku district, where the situation is no different; in fact, it is strangely becoming worse. In the district lies a peculiar office, used by the Gokurakugai Troubleshooter Agency. Cool-headed leader Tao and intuitive young Alma, its only two members, take on any job that requires them to look into private incidents or even track down missing people—if their clients can afford it, that is. But the two hide a secret: their main objective is to investigate the disturbing cases caused by maga and eradicate every single one of them. Simple, to the point, amazing art, and a great story. With one-shots, I sometimes see them trying to be something they're not. They will introduce incredibly complex plots or ideas, and while sometimes they deliver, other times they fall flat. Usually in a one-shot, something is lacking: whether it be the story, art, characters, or major conflict that drives it, I almost never read a one shot and feel completely satisfied. More often than not, the one-shots that are most successful in myeyes are the simple ones that go for eliciting sadness in the reader. But somehow this one-shot successfully elicits feelings of triumph while packing a punch. Also, this art is AMAZING. All in all I'm so impressed with it.

Really interesting world that’s been built here, definitely made me want to read more. For a oneshot the story was paced very nicely and the art (especially the full spreads) was very nice to look at. The plot felt a little generic to be honest, it lacked something special story-wise outside of the interesting setting. That being said, Tao and Alma have some really rad character designs, their personalities are very believable and work well with one another. The whole story felt like a pieceof a much larger world, and while I’m sad this is only a oneshot, I think the author did a wonderful job making such a believable setting in such a short timeframe. Overall a very enjoyable read! Definitely recommend:)

Gokurakugai Sanban-doori no Ken is a oneshot manga with wonderful art and a good storyteling, as I write this it will be seriealizated and I agree with this decision because the oneshot has really good potential. I'll start this review from the best part of this oneshot: Art: 9 The art and the tecnique is really on level of a Pro mangaka, no doubt aboit it. The anatomy, the backgrounds, the characthers expressions, it's all very well draw, the paneling of the pages is good too and thestorytelling is smooth and go on without any hitches. Story: 6 The story is simple and have nothing particullary wrong but neither good, it's the classic "two guys lives in a bad city and do things to help the weak", the only really good idea was to include the Beastmen , this idea have save the story from been too weak. Characters: 7 The chara are good enough, they are recognazible and have well-defined personalities, the main protagonist imho are a little to weak, Alma is a dogboy who the only thing he is good at is martial arts, of Tao we don't know anything yet, we only see a glimse of her past that can tell us why she is doin what is doin now, but aside from that she don't do anything "special" but of course this is a oneshot so I hope the series will give her a nice story. The mermaids.... they are the poor things to get us emotional, they are all woman, they are beaten by the man and selled, no police or justice for them, only the troubleshooters can save them! ;-__- Overall 7 It's a nice oneshot, really good art, the story is simple but overall is enjoiable enough for me, plus if you like dogboys then you will love it! (I'm a catman so maybe that's why I didn't like it too much :P )
