This manhwa was a great read. My favorite parts about it are the art, characters, and conflicts. In regards to the art, the expressions and way that every character's face is stylized and designed is just beautiful and amazing. It's so impressive how exactly right each expression is for each scene and each character. Besides the art, I like how the characters interact and their dynamics. The main character is just a delightful ball of sunshine and it contrasts well with the male lead. I appreciate how the conflicts with the parents and society, and those expectations feel realistic and grounded. The actions, thoughts, and dialogue the charactershave make them feel like they're real living people who don't want to disappoint or bother others. And the way the conflicts get resolved and so on, feels realistic. Overall, it was a fun read, especially if you enjoy the fake dating trope.
While Kim Jaeha and Yun Se-i were childhood friends, they started to drift apart as they grew older. Due to strict parents who set extreme restrictions, the two have formed a secret alliance where they act like best friends in front of their parents, but become total strangers when out of their sight. Nonetheless, Jaeha secretly harbors feelings for Se-i. Soon, Jaeha and Se-i face difficulties when Se-i's mother asks them to perform a song together as a couple at her second wedding. The pair hesitantly decides to humor the request, only to end up in more complicated situations. However, all of these troubles are advantageous to Jaeha as he tries to make Se-i reciprocate his feelings. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
OH, I LOVE A CHARACTER THAT REMINDS ME OF SOMEONE. This follows a childhood friends-to-lovers romance and focuses on the slow, natural development of a relationship. Wholesome and well written, with an emphasis on emotional connection rather than heavy drama. Romantic progress feels gradual and believable. Character development is handled consistently. The main leads grow in ways that match their personalities, and their interactions feel natural rather than forced. Misunderstandings are limited, which helps keep the story enjoyable and not frustrating. Side characters are also given enough recognition. This is slow at the beginning and may not immediately hook all readers, but it improves over time as thecharacters grow closer. The art style is cute and clean, and improves a lot as the story progresses.
