It is useless to try to defend this manhwa: it started out with an interesting, if "classic" story, but ended up far too disappointing in so many ways. Chapters: 102 Honestly a good number of chapters but poorly managed. Initially a story with a leisurely and pleasant pace only to arrive toward the end where the pace is far too fast. Story: As mentioned it started out "classically" (I mean the protagonist being reincarnated) but slowly developed sensibly and with a very pleasant pace. The story gradually developed and so did the romance part. The issue (like, to my chagrin, so many Manhwa that have been coming out lately) is thatit seems that the author got tired and wanted to finish the Manhwa so as to get this "burden" off his chest. The ending, honestly, disappointing--it seems like the classic ending to shut up those who are reading. Drawing/Graphics: Nothing to criticize. I liked it and, unlike others, it did not get progressively worse chapter by chapter. Final Reflection: Would I recommend this manhwa? Yes âī¸ and No â. I am still undecided. Would I read it again? No â.
A broken engagement and one too many drinks are the catalysts for a mistake that will change Penelope Zecalion's life forever, as she finds herself waking up in bed with the emperor! Grouchy, foul-mouthed Penelope is reluctant to let the emperor into her heart after her first engagement went so wrong. Can the emperor change her mind and win her heart? This manhwa has some really great art right off the bat. It's one of the reasons I kept going with it till the end. As a fan of romance-isekai or villainess stuff, I approached this similarly. I was very glad to find out that this show didn't follow the usual tropes of "I read a novel/played a game and now I'm the princess or villaness" but instead its just a normal isekai to another world. The entire romance is based on the characters falling for each other when they know more about each other. So because of that there are really few moments where the charactersget all depressed and start avoiding each other just running around in circles and wasting chapters. The story focuses on the rest of the world and its development while occasionally testing their relationship without making a hassle out of it. The story maintains a good pace until the last 20 chapters where it's somewhat rushed and a bit cringe in some moments. Overall tho it was a really fun and enjoyable read. If you're looking for really intense drama between the characters, this probably isn't for you. Chapters: 102
