Some people may think it's childish and funny how Outa got hurt, felt sad, and hated Tomoaki a little just because he said "It can't be helped" when Outa said he'll be moving far away and won't be able to see him again. Let's say he's the only friend Outa has, and all that time, he was so happy spending his days with him only to brush off the thought that he's leaving like it's no big deal? Even I, as an adult, also feels betrayed over little petty remarks made by friends just because it's not something I was thinking about. Maybe every littlecomment we make in passing could be a huge deal to other people and we might not be aware of it. That's why I totally understand Outa's feelings all through out. It may not be for everyone but everybody has different circumstances. Still, this story was pretty cute. Childhood friends found their way back to each other. :)
In middle school, when Outa had to move schools, he told his best friend, Tomoaki, but all that Tomoaki had to say were the cold words, "It can't be helped." Outa was expecting him to say that he would miss him, and he was so shocked that he ended up moving schools without even saying goodbye. Time has passed since then, and Outa is now in college and determined to enjoy his student life on his own. One day, he ran into Tomoaki, whom he did not want to meet again. Outa found it awkward, and tried to put some distance between them, but Tomoaki kept talking to him for some reason! (Source: Kasakura Shuppansha, translated)
