NO SPOILERS This art and the story was perfect in the beginning. The art was the only thing that stayed that way. I 100% believe this is due to having to be adapted to a manhwa. The Story dragged when we weren't focused on the main cast and Protagonist’s crew just passed the half mark and the ending was dragged out and rushed at the same time. Also the random last conflict didn't really fit or make sense for lack of a better explanation. Now for my small annoyances for the side stories (STILL NO PLOT SPOILERS), Amon getting reduced to only one character traitin the side stories forgot about his entire character depth, development and journey across the whole story; nothing can make me feel bad for the Emperor/father (though I did like that he knowledge he messed up); Lucy's one side story chapter encompassing her thoughts and feelings of her entire life needed to be multiple chapters and lastly Adellai(?), Lart and Briddy's sister, needed actual repercussions.
Blondina's greatest desire is to escape the hellish life she has been enduring since her mother's death. In order to avoid being sold off to a sadistic nobleman, Blondina must trade her mother's memento—a sparkling ring that belonged to her father she never met—to earn some money. Unexpectedly, her plan leads to her estranged father, the emperor of Ates; discovering her existence, he formally names her a princess. However, Blondina's new life is not all roses. Between being forced to hide her humble origins and tolerating the disparaging behavior of her half-siblings, Blondina feels as lonely as she was before. When she meets an injured talking kitten, she is happy to finally have found someone to befriend. However, the animal is no ordinary creature; his real identity is Amon Akin—the most powerful member of the Great Divine Leopard clan. With the peace treaty between humans and leopards hanging by a thread, will their blossoming relationship change things for the better—or for the worse? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
If the storytelling and beautiful art style of this Webtoon doesn't grab your attention, I don't know what will! My Gently Raised Beast stole my heart from the first second I found it on Webtoon. It combines the theme of fantasy with sweet romance to create an emotional and gripping story. There's enough 'lore' to keep readers interested but not too complicated that it bores or confuses them. Some stories/shows/games etc unnecessarily overcomplicate themselves by providing too much lore and backstory that confuses many readers, including myself. My Gently Raised Beast is perfect for those who love a good "kawaii" or "kicking my feet ngiggling" kind of vibe because this Webtoon blesses us readers with so many of those scenes TwT It is a romance, after all. Back to the art style. Utterly stunning, the artist really outdid themselves on this Webtoon ^^ Pastel colors, breathtaking landscapes and forests really set the scene for the unfolding of this fantasy webcomic. The characters' designs are each so unique as well, reflecting their diverse backgrounds and personalities but still remaining simple and relatable to readers. Really hope you all can get a chance to read this.
great story telling and development of the plot with lovable characters as well; a nice premise built on two opposing powers (human vs beast) and how the 2 leads navigate through it, and overall gave a feel good romance fantasy read, definitely recommend to anyone looking for a general light-hearted read with enough meat to enjoy the backstories. romance 9/10 - synergy between the 2 leads were really well developed and it was nice to see different types of romance portray throughout when ML was in cat vs leopard vs human form; very satisfying to see their various moments together art 9/10 - stunning costumes and artworkthroughout that made each character distinct and easy to follow story 8/10 - good premise and build up of the main plotlines, although it can become somewhat predictable you couldnt help but root for the characters. That said, there was good pacing throughout the different arcs. characters 8/10 - good development of even the side characters where they had their own moments to shine, and development of the FL and ML were pretty decent as well as they recovered from their own childhood traumas and started leading those around them
