Cantata on the Ruled Line

Hayane Dentou is a really good and unique BL mangaka, and this is a sweet BL that does tackle some unusual areas, like fanarts and fanfics...and self-harm. (Content warning!) While the issues can get a bit dark, but the storytelling remains gentle and compassionate, with melancholy at most. I actually love how the narrative treats that self-harm issue. It's compassionate and understanding without being "you must change for the better". Relationships are sweet but not shallow. Nothing is particularly toxic; while there are misunderstandings, it gets resolved pretty soon and it doesn't get overblown for the sake of prolonging drama. The art is pretty clean too.
