Man, this series was wonderful! It has some tough topics that aren't the more obvious ones, yet it has many great lessons to gain from. Makoto is a very negative character, but that gives him plenty of space to grow. His trust was broken by so many people that he can't trust others, especially when people attempt to force him to. That's what makes Anri so special; she never pushed him in any way that he didn't feel comfortable. They grow together, and it's a beautiful thing. They are both complex both where they start and how they change in the story. The story is great, evenif many people seem to be confused by it. It'll be hard not to spoil things, but I'll do my best. The beginning focuses on the trauma, but the rest is about growing and moving forward in a positive manner. It is almost too linear in how he grows and changes, but that's fine. I think a lot of people need a story like that to give them the courage to move forward in life too. It's quite inspiring. 9/10 It's an easy recommend from me! While some may not relate or see how the situation is as heavy as Makoto makes it out to be, I think the value for those that do is far higher. Comparing the characters from the beginning to the end is probably my favorite part; the story sets itself away from others with clearly defined change rather than something open-ended or vague.
Makoto Shinjou is a high school student who has decided not to interact with people due to his past experiences. Anri Shinozuka is the yankee girl sitting next to him who doesn't hang out with anyone. When two wounded people meet, a new story is born. (Source: Kadokawa, translated)
a truly wonderful story about the recovery of two anti-social outcasts together. the characters and trauma are well written, and i even felt my heart sink when they talked about their past. throughout the story, the two main characters slowly open up with each other until they are completely different from how they were originally. and unlike other psychological stories, the romance is actually really good. it feels super natural (aside from the original coincidences), and it was pretty cute. another fact i praise is that the story gets happier as time goes on, unlike random shocks of sadness in certain other psychological manga iveread. overall, this is a great story, and a pretty damn good psychological compared to everything else ive read. i personally gave it an 8.5/10. the only flaw is that its a bit short and could have had some slower development, but it didnt hurt the story too much
yes story very unique and to easy to predict actually but good storyline artstyle very cute especially heroine. too cute character need to improve more actually not to strong but mid level event and situation all balance other will like this manga The story stands out for its charming and expressive character designs, which give each personality a distinct and memorable presence. Despite its short length, the pacing feels tight and purposeful, delivering an engaging and complete narrative without unnecessary filler. The character development is especially impressive, with clear growth and emotional depth conveyed in a limited space. The balance between simplicity and impact makes the story both accessible andmemorable. More manga with this level of thoughtful design and concise storytelling would be highly appreciated, and it has strong appeal for a wide audience.
