Unyielding Heart. The ability to improvise and make decisions based on your surroundings, being relentless, are a few ways to get better at performing arts. Show-ha Shoten is a manga showing two young comedians trying to make it big in the Manzai Comedy space. The Comedy in the genre is really misleading as anyone who read it can say, it's not as much a comedy manga as much it is a sports or a drama. The Manzai performances we see in the series aren't particularly funny as we see audience laugh their asses off in the panels, there can be multiple reasons for that, maybe it was a culturalsubtexts and lost in translation jokes, or maybe it was plain unfunny, it'a subjective. But I can say the tournament aspect of his series, where we see different artists performing their bits and we see how they prepared and where they're coming from in the backstories of each characters, where we see different philosophies of them becoming an artist and comedian, it's genuinely really interesting. That's why I call it a sports drama and not comedy. It's a shame because it looked like the creators had more plans ahead for this manga but for whatever reason it got cancelled. Atleast the end wasn't abrupt and we got a satisfactory conclusion. So yeah if you want a sports drama but it's actually competitive comedy and see many different and interesting characters all with their different philosophies on art of storytelling and Comedy, you'll have a great time. But if you want comedy, go for something like Sket dance, Witch Watch, Gintama, Kaguya-sama etc. there are many options.
