This manga absolutely gutted me. I'm not one to be emotional, especially when reading, but after finishing this I ended up crying myself to sleep. A really bittersweet manga focusing on secrets, grief, and regret. I found this story to be really interesting. I've seen many stories have their own takes on twin characters, and usually they end up falling under a stereotypical personality type. However, My Gemini had a more unique and in-depth personality dynamic for both the siblings. They are much more than being each other's twin half. Both siblings have their own personalities, secrets, feelings, and relationships outside of each other. The bondwith each other as well is extremely in-depth and complex; displaying sibling love, admiration, and jealousy. I found how the story handled the mystery to be extremely well. I tend to find it easy to determine who is who in identical twin stories like this. However, this one really stumped me. Whenever I thought I was completely sure of myself, something else would happen to make me second guess myself. It is hard to figure out which is which when, even the siblings at times, have a hard time figuring out who they are in that moment. A really solid storyline with interesting characters and relationships. It finished strongly with an extremely bittersweet ending to suit the characters.
Shy, bespectacled John Utterson is the only person who can tell the popular Stevenson twins apart. This achievement is even more impressive considering that the cool and composed Jekyll and the cheerful and expressive Hyde purposely take turns pretending to be each other on a regular basis. However this game of theirs began, it has been going on long enough that the once distinct lines between their true selves have faded; if they are always together, it does not matter what role the two play. But when one of the twins dies in an unfortunate accident, they can no longer be called "Jekyll and Hyde," and even John has to question which of his best friends survived. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
