I'm surprised that this manga has no reviews because it's really heartwarming and funny. We got a healthy relationship between a mature and understanding man and a straightforward and strong willed woman. The art is good enough. Overall I totally recommend it if you want a short cute romance between two adults. I guess I have to write some more because mal won't allow this so ... yeaaaaaaaaaah why mal why I mean I totally love this manga, but I'm really tired so pretty please accept my ducking review.so still not enough, who has the time to read long reviews ? I personally only read the scores and the final paragraph(if I read any) So once again totally recommend it cute cute cute
Twenty-two-year-old Haruhi Fukunaga lives her dream life in Tokyo working her long-desired job as a heavy machine operator. When her father suddenly demands that she return to the countryside to help with the family business, a frustrated Haruhi decides to visit a bar for a few drinks. The next morning, she discovers that—in her drunken stupor—she had married a man twice her age! Feeling partially responsible for the incident, Haruhi's now-husband Nagato Sunohara determines to assist his new bride in convincing her father that Tokyo is where she truly belongs. I was really surprised with this manga.I read this blindly because there are almost no review. I was looking for fake marriage plot so I immediately read it. Given that this manga is so short, the author made me believe in the ridiculousness of the premise of the story. This is about Haruhi, a 22-year old heavy equipment operator. She went to a bar, got drunk, and woke up with a husband. The said husband, Nagato Sunohara, was also drunk when he agreed to the marriage. He was twenty years older. I like age gaps but not really large age gaps so I wasa little bit apprehensive about continuing because I don't want to read a smut romance about opportunistic grandpas and young women. Lol was I wrong. First off, Sunohara is really good-looking. The art is fantastic! And then the way he approached the relationship, it was respectful, kind, and really mature. I unexpectedly fell for him, damn. I was most surprised with Haruhi. Age gaps mangas usually portray the lead female as needy, whiny, and weak. But not Haruhi. In order for their marriage and their personal agenda to work, she supported Sunohara while he was still unemployed. The dynamic between them is so so so goood. There were a lot of avenues for misunderstanding but because both characters are mature and level-headed, they talk it out before passing judgement. (Unlike a LOT of mangas I know). Sunohara is so caring and also hilariously honest, but sometimes can get your heart racing like hell 'cause he's hawt. The occupations of the characters are also unique. A construction worker and a calligrapher? Very interesting. First time seeing this combination. Overall, this is a short and surprising read. Love it!
I'd like to point out that, despite the fact that our female protagonist, Haruhi, is a clown for drunkenly pushing a man to marry her simply because she doesn't want to return to run her father's company, she chose a very fascinating sliver fox. Basically mr sliver fox himself, Sunohara is a calligrapher and is 10 years older than her (she’s 22 basically). She on the other hand, is a machine operator working in the construction sector. I liked the fact both the characters occupations are uniquely different cause I hardly ever see those jobs roles being mentioned in manga! I also liked how simplisticand lovely it is for both the characters to get to know one another. That’s regardless if they married at first sight like yeah, it’s a odd way to sign marriage papers at a pub but hey, anything can happen anywhere I guess! Also I hated that guy that fancied Haruhi, read to find out why.... If you want a cute story to check out, this one is definitely one for you all to see!
It's was quite enjoyable if you ask me! Before starting the manga, I had checked for its reviews...and some people were complaining about its romance, that "The romance was too rushed for our taste, blah blah blah...!". In reply to those commentators, I'll just say that when both parties are mature and understanding enough, romance is never rushed...it is neither too early nor too late...romance is just, you know, ROMANCE! (Some may not agree with it, doesn't matter!) About age-gap...Umm! Age-gap was too wide, that I can agree with many readers out there. However, how can I judge the story just becuase of their age-gap is"too wide", when in reality they have the most beautiful and unseen understanding and respect for each other! This type of mutual understanding and respect between couples is almost extinguished now-a-days! All n all, this is a great manga which you'll never regret turning to read in your life!
When I first started reading this manga, I was a bit worried that the plot would be too convoluted and/or unbelievable, given the fact that it begins with two people getting drunkenly married under rather unrealistic circumstances. However, I was pleasantly surrpised by how much I enjoyed this manga. The thing I was most wary of was the age gap since I find that large age gaps like this often breed unhealthy power dynamics. However, Sunohara and Haruhi have such easy chemistry and their love blooms so naturally. Rather than one of them weilding more power than the other, the two uplift each other whilelearning and growing as a couple. I was also concerned about the possibility of over-the-top drama, but all of the issues that the couple face are handled with maturity and communication. Despite the challenges that are thrown their way, they work through it all together and grow stronger as a couple. Not to mention that the art is beautiful! If you're looking for something simple and sweet, this is a great pick. So cute and wholesome!
