Até aí, tudo dentro do esperado para uma comédia romântica, o diferencial é justamente o absurdo da situação. O garoto também gosta dela, mas existe um pequeno (e hilário) problema: ele simplesmente não pode aceitar a confissão… porque ela literalmente tenta comprá-lo. Esse exagero cômico é o que sustenta a história. A narrativa brinca com esse contraste entre sentimentos genuínos e uma abordagem completamente equivocada da protagonista, gerando situações constrangedoras, diálogos divertidos e aquele tipo de humor que funciona justamente pelo absurdo.
