TlDR; A fun lighthearted fluffy romance. Don't expect anything too deep and just enjoy two enjoyable characters and a simple storyline For a fantasy manga it keeps things very simple and easily navigable for new readers who don't want 2 years worth of an expo dump on family politics and magic systems. The two Leads aren't super deep or developed but they don't really need to be. Both of them are enjoyable and due to the length of the manga their dynamic dosent have time to get old. Every other character in this manga other than the two leads are super predictable and uninteresting, again ifyour looking for intricate drama and engaging side plots this is not the manga for you. Thinking about it now this is the perfect manga for younger manga readers, simple characters and easy to follow storyline, with a nice conclusion that dosent leave anything open ended.
In a garden tucked away at the back of the magic academy, Sharina falls in love with the gloomy and morose young man, Riol. She resolves to pursue him wholeheartedly... but for some reason, she finds herself in a stalkeriffic situation where the kingdom's first prince, Leonardo, just won't leave her alone?! Nuh-uh, that overbearing attitude of his spells nothing but trouble for her!!! The spirited and bubbly heroine who is constant in her devotion to her first love and the intellectual hero whose nose is always in a book join hands to face the arrogant prince head-on! The immensely popular, heart-pounding love comedy set in a fantasy world has finally been adapted β (Source: Square Enix, translated)
I stumbled upon this cute story while looking for romance reccs. I was surprised to see no reviews! I finished this in one sitting, it appears to be based on an ongoing novel - so potential for a sequel! I really liked this story, as "plain" as it was. It didn't go in detail on the world, the school, magic, or pretty much anything aside from our main couple BUT I thought they were interesting enough as is. That being said, there is really only one main conflict with an overbearing and stalker-y obsessed prince they actively try to avoid during the whole thing. It'spretty comedic at points - I loved seeing FL & ML's mutual hatred and annoyance for the prince. You don't really get to know the main leads well, but you do get a pretty good idea of their personalities throughout. I loved how while different, they complimented each other and had good chemistry. There were many sweet moments between them. I especially adored FL. Her determination and passion for ML was adorable :) I also liked the character designs and the school uniforms. Loved a more modest school uniform that still looked super flattering - it's such a minor thing but I just really loved the design of them. I really do recommend this one to anyone looking for a short-ish romance.
This was a lighthearted cute romance comedy with a bit of strategy thrown in. It turned some tropes on their head but was ultimately a classic cute love story. Seriously it's sweet enough to rot your teeth. The main antagonist and his followers were super annoying, but I didn't really mind because the FL and ML would just roast them or zone out the whole time. Art: Nothing new but cute and easy to follow. Story: I've never seen this type of story before, but it can get kind of repetitive and it's not the most engaging. The world is pretty typical for an otome isekai, but that's necessary in this case to subvert tropes. Apparently the Light Novel improves some parts of the story, so it seems worth checking out. Comedy: I was surprised how funny this series was. I loved the comedy when it happened, I just wish there was more of it. I think the comedy would adapt really well to an anime. Characters: Sharina was a great FL. Riol is just a nice dude. The antagonists are super tropey and the rest of the cast don't do much. Overall, this is a good manga to read if you want something not too deep but still unique.
