Changes of Heart

This is one of my favorite josei of all time. And CERTIFIED FLUFF. And it has a very romantic smut. It rather use a common trope which is childhood friends that become lover when they reach adulthood. But it's a very well told story with enough spice that I sometimes crave it and make me want to read it again from time to time. Ok I will explain it's greatest points first. - the characters felt like an adult. Oh ok you maybe asking why it is so important? It's hard to write an adult story which doesn't rely on triangle love trope,twisted relationship,plot and just adult beinghorrible to each other and still make it an interesting manga. This manga excel in maintaining it's main couple as an believable adult that love each other and want to work on their relationship. Instead of misunderstanding trope that spiraling into chaos you got an adult that try to talk and believe each other. instead of won't they will they cliche Its a journey about 2 adult that faces with their struggles, whether risking their current relationship or advancing it,struggle about co habitation,jealousy over past ex, struggle in their work life and adjusting to their new relationship without shattering and undermining the past one. It's great when an adult characters try to talk things out and facing the struggles together rather than some annoying misunderstanding that will annoy you to the oblivion. The manga is well paced and the story doesn't feel too long or too short,it just felt like the right amount to enjoy the maximum fluffyness that you can get. The drama is well told and well explained it filled with the usual tropes that can happen within the story. And it doesn't get extended beyond when the drama get annoying. Instead just the right amount to spice the manga up without losing its wholesomeness. The art is good when it have to, simple and chibi when it need to and some panels are just gorgeous and perfect for my liking. The main characters are complex but not too complex, the mangaka will really make you believe that they are adult with flaws but not make them too complicated to the point of annoyance or simple twisted stuff. Some of The side characters are good some are just average. The sex scene are hot and fluff it make my heart flutter and enchanted when it happens. The plot not overly complex but well told. There's some people that say the drama near the end is annoying but for me myself I can relate to their struggle. because I have been experiencing it first hand. where distance is a factor and will put a strain on a relationship. The weak point in my opinion is the story line about the ex. Well it's not bad, it's good but it's just pale in comparison with the other arcs. Some side character are good some are just average but if you read the sequel it will add more understanding to one of it weakest supporting characters and make her one of the best within the context of the story. There's no bad characters all characters serve their purposes and some even exceed my expectation. My final score is Art : 9 Plot : 9.5 Characters : 9.5 Enjoyment : 10 Sex scene : 10 Final score : 9.8 It's just hit me in the right spot. Whether When I first read or when I re-read it. Some people may disagree but this is one of the most enjoyable smut josei romance that I have ever read.
