I've been burnout from anime and manga for so long that I can only bear consuming very specific content. Last thing I was able to immerse into so well was Psycho-pass, this time it's this manga. I'm not going to a constructive opinion or whatnot really, I just wanted to say that after trying to find something for nearly a month and going through like 4-5 anime, of which I have dropped/hold on like 3-4, this was the manga that pulled me in and I found most characters relatable and really love them and am rooting and cheering for them. Heck I have found somany relatable quotes that I have like 40-50 screenshots of panels, even though I usually never do this. In any case, I think it's worth a try and I doubt the majority of people will get into it honestly, but you might still like it, who knows. Anyways, I won't bother formatting this or anything. I really just wanted to write my feelings out since no one else will I talk to about this manga anyways. Please give it a try! (I think)
To cover her expenses, university student Yuki Shirai works as a part-time rental girlfriend. Once a week, she has to manage the burn scar on her face and put on a fake personality—hiding her cold, calculating, and cynical self—all to suit her client's desires. Having grown up in a family lacking any warmth or love, she works believing money is the only thing that will never betray her. Meanwhile, Tsuji Souta is unlike Yuki's past clients. Having lied to his friend about having a girlfriend, he hires Yuki for a double date, from where they develop a growing acquaintance. As Tsuji discovers the true Yuki, she sees him as a refreshing change from her other clients. But as they get closer, the two wonder how far they should take this relationship, or perhaps they should just part ways as merely a client and rental girlfriend. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
