this is a collection of three stories, two which are set at the same bar and the other an earlier oneshot in the mangaka's career which is tacked on the end. all follow three different couples and there's very little overlap even between the first two, just in location and the twins who run the bar. all three also feature age gap relationships, for people who might want to avoid that. the first story is the strongest of the three, with great characterisation and a tangible bond between the couple. the second tries to tackle some interesting ideas around sex and internalised homophobia but it mostlycomes across as confused and can't really commit. the couple also don't have as strong a connection as tomo and nao imo. (this story has explicit sexual content, the other two don't). the last is easily the weakest of the three, with some questionable plot decisions and a couple who have no real connection. they also have the largest age gap but honestly that's not the biggest issue there, you can tell the mangaka grew between the release of that oneshot and the serialised stories. the omake was cute tho. on the whole, if not a great read, it's an enjoyable one. the moment to moment writing is good, the art is great, and even when the main characters weren't as well fleshed out, they all felt flawed and human. do it for the twins, tbh, they're great
At Aruko Hole, college students, salary workers, freeters, and unsuccessful musicians come to mingle. Tomo and Nao, two people from different walks of life, happen to meet one day at Aruko Hole. Despite their differences, they drunkenly become friends and start attending art exhibit "dates" together on the weekends. Their past and present anxieties burden them. But, as they reveal their worries to each other, their relationship becomes essential to both of them. (Source: Fantasista Inc.) Included one-shot: Sankaku no Namaiki (Brazen Triangle)
