Why is a almost-forty year old woman blushing when holding hands with her boyfriend? It's so cringe... Story: I loved the story at first, finding your one true love from a past life. But the story has a surprisingly low amount of dating and "slice of life" chapters. Since the two people already know and love each other, there's almost no build up for the romance. Instead we have people feeling awkward about the age difference, but then becomes more supporting. And most of the story is just about characters learning to accept that the woman is much older. We also have side stories fromtheir life before reincarnation. But it feels boring and almost like it's just to fatten up the story a bit. It doesn't add anything and honestly made me lose my interest. Art: In the modern timeline the art is fairly good. Characters are cute and it's not "too shoujo". But in the historical parts it really lacks impact and just looks generic. The difference between modern / medieval is huge, maybe it's hard to draw both in the same series... Characters: Shoujo. Do I need to say more? Yes? Fine... We have girls that don't want to accept the relationship of the main characters. But after just one conversation these "antagonists" changes sides and become supporters instead. And no character has any interest in sex, it's always "Oh how much I love you, my sweet dear".... Overall. The idea was fun, but the story was too developed and rushed. I like myself some older women, but this story doesn't even use the charm of older women. She blushes when holding hands, she's mentally weak, and she doesn't use any sex-appeal. Just like one of those typical 16 year old heroine you see in many other romance manga.
Long ago, a princess and a knight fell in love, but couldn't be together. They promised to meet again in the next life where they could freely love each other, but there's a problem—they weren't reborn in the same year! Now the princess, a 39-year-old single woman living in modern Japan, just bumped into the reincarnation of her beloved knight: a 17-year-old high school student who recognized her immediately. To her surprise, that teenage boy is determined to sweep her off her feet again, and she has no idea how to deal with that! (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)
Beautiful purifying manga... Every once in a while, it's nice to read the kind of manga that purifies your heart—especially after something heavy or overly shonen. And this is it! The story is a wholesome slice-of-life romance between two people: a princess from a small kingdom and her loyal knight. Bound by duty and separated by status, they were never truly able to be together in their past lives. Reunited in a new life, they must now cherish their newfound freedom with each other for the rest of their days. As they grow closer, they also come to realize the significant age disparity between them, which addscomplexity to their relationship. While reading this manga, I kept getting butterflies in my stomach. The leads relationship is both heartwarming and endearing as they spend their day to day lives together. Their dynamic is subtle and slow-burning formed from their shared history together. There’s something incredibly calming about seeing them together. Some might think it might be cringe, but I think otherwise. The art is drawn with soft, expressive features, which perfectly complements the narrative of the story and enriches their moments together. The side characters do stir up a bit of drama, but it never feels unnecessary. There are no love triangles or annoying tropes to weigh down the story. Overall, if there’s one thing I wish the story explored more, it’s their time together. The ending felt a bit rushed, and it would have been nice to see more of their moments together. Nevertheless, it’s a great light read when you’re looking for a change of pace from your usual reading material. How I rank (This is just my opinion): (Inspired by Huang-Teizan) 10 - Bendicion de Dios 9 - This is what PEAK looks like people!! 8 - Bingeworthy! 7 - Good 6 - Enjoyable 5 - Either Echii or just enough to get by 4 - I'm just here to find out how it ends. 3 - Don´t bother 2 - "Are you related to Rent a Girlfriend?" 1 - "Even a Hentai has a better story than you!" 0 - Incinerate it!
