This was a short but okay read. Someone might have screwed up the scans for the last chapter and included something a bit jarring. I almost thought it was a flashback of the FMC's previous relationship including their sex, which would have seriously been a major blunder. The story resembles a lot of typical fluff romance where they each slowly but steadily fall for each other, except that there's glorious "resolution" after they confess to each other and a few times more after that. I hereby decree that all romance mangas should have these cherry-on-tops at least once in their stories. The characters are very very one-dimensional butit still works somehow because the story is so proportionally simple you don't really ask for much more. The art however is disproportionally good if you ask me. Overall, worth skimming over, and you'll probably be just skimming since it doesn't have that much dialogue and the panels are usually sufficient to give an idea what exactly is going on.
Iroha works at a small family bakery downtown, and she has her eyes on the cute, younger part-time staff member, Ippei. He looks a little... actually, very scary, but once you get to know him, he's a total sweetheart. Iroha's always smiling and being nice to people, but deep down, she's hiding her true feelings. Ippei's kindness envelopes her and gradually warms her up... A cute, sweet, and warm love story with a younger guy! (Source: Renta!) Included one-shot: Sono Hitomi ni Utsushite
This story is the result of the author simply fantasizing about a fake scenario in his/her head and expanding it off from there by penning it down. This is an overly positive fairy tale about the romantic developments between a couple with a significant age difference. From their first meeting to their romantic aspects nothing screams more fairy tale than this manga. I am not some art police here or expert in this field so all I can say that it was good. What I am expert of is the story department and god was it rushed, and it is apparent, seeing this lengthy manga of 4 chapterstrying to include everything it could have. Their love story did not have some real stakes of not happening apart than the delusion of the female lead about how the world would scorn at their relationship due to their age difference. The apparent sex scenes were not that important for the story at all, nor did they prove any benefit. No sense of trying to set up readers to root for their love. At the end it is as shoujo as it can get and unfortunately that did not work for me well.
