I was laughing so hard one time, then I'm about to burst into tears the next. This completely took me by surprise at how the story developed just like that. It was heart wrenchingly sad and beautifully heartwarming. When Naruse narated his past and why he took the service pained me a lot on seeing how broken and pathetic he feels for being no "normal" as what society sees. Him loving a man but not wanting to be a woman means he just wants to be himself and feel emotions and love and to be loved by somebody. I can't get his reaction off myhead when he burst out his feelings back there, especially when we see Kei starting to feel something deeper to him too and wanting to be the person to love him. But what got me cackling, too, was that ending. That manager threw an all out coming out and going away party? It turned out all good in the end.
University student Naruse appears as a customer before Kei, a travel host from an Erogenous Aesthetic shop specializing in services to women. Kei offers Naruse the limited edition "Return to Origins Course," after being asked to treat Naruse as he would a girl. He can't provide an honest service to Naruse after being tricked, after all. But Naruse, who chose the service, experiences a profoundly sad memory amidst this encounter... (Source: Printemps Shuppan, translated)
The story was short so I didn't expect there to be much detail about the characters. I appreciate them going into Naru-chan's past, it gave insight into why he'd search for a host in the first place. I would say though that a lot was wasted in the first few chapters so the last two felt rushed. Though the bag mix up bringing them back together was hilarious! The art is really good, though the eyes seeming to pop out freaked me out a bit. (Also loved that it is uncensored!! Holy shit was that so hot!) I likely will never read this again but I would encourage others on.BL binge to read it if they'd like to see a cute short story.
