I would say that this was a very cute love story. Even though it's yaoi, that aspect is really just in the extra. They focus more on the love aspect of it all, which I personally love. Yes, it is quite short, but something you would enjoy on a train ride to see your love. The story is a bit weak, and at times feel forced in a way. You always know what's going to happen, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying it in my opinion. The plot is simple enough, so you could understand it even if you were five. Now that I think back,I think that Kaneda is a bit stalker-ish. Just because he kind of followed the person he looked up to and joined the same company, but I guess it's fine? The art is very typical for this genre I would say. Nothing special, but nothing trash. The characters are likable and you can understand their every action. Relatable in the sense that everyone has felt the same way that Yanase did at one point in time. Kaneda is a little more on the childish side, but everyone can understand that he wants Yanase to really understand what he is saying. It's a really cute dynamic, if you ask me. I enjoyed the five/six chapters, and overall it was an 8 for me!
Friendly, confident, amazing at his job... All words applicable to veteran CG designer Yanase, who was asked to teach the hardworking new hire, Kaneda, the ropes! Although excited about the prospect, he begins to lose heart in the face of Kaneda's frosty indifference. However, on the inside, Kaneda's been struggling to play it cool whenever Yanase so much as pats him on the back... (Source: Yen Press)
I feel like this is one of those workplace romances that are more 'workplace' than 'romance'. The workplace side of the story is actually pretty solid. The story is telling a fairly decent slice of life regarding life in the world of 3d studios. I can feel both the joy, the passion, and also the suffering embedded within the main characters and the world around them. The main characters are also pretty good by themselves. Their personalities are defined, and their internal conflict for the first volume feels pretty realistic too, be that the seme or the uke. Between the slow and steady pace, and the waythe narrative zooms closer to the characters for resolving the first volume's conflict, I find that the first volume feels surprisingly and delightfully mature. If anything, I feel that the romance is the weakest part here. It's FINE, but at the core it's just a typical caring senpai/ tsundere kohai BL.
