I liked the anime, and I'm basically looking for a good Gyaru story and I think this was good. The only negative thing I have with this is that the father, main character and their daughter have pretty much the same setup...but it didn't spoil anything. In fact! I liked how the story ended with rivals. The two main characters got almost 30 chapters of time with each other and with their family, which I appreciated, and the extra chapter at the end with their daughter deserves special credit. I have no complaints with the story.. it didn't try to overcomplicate it like most harems do. The maincharacter knew who he wanted all the way through and didn't go from one to the other before he realized who he wanted again, so I appreciated that while reading. (This was also one of the good sides of the manga) and the drawing is just wow. So, it easily deserves 8+/10. and after this I want season 2 :3
City boy Tsubasa Shiki has just moved from Tokyo out to the sticks in Hokkaido—and right in the middle of winter! Despite being dressed in many, many layers, Tsubasa is quick to find the blistering cold inescapable and unbearable. Stumbling around trying to find his way, Tsubasa makes a beautiful discovery: A Hokkaido Gal, buxom but barely covered in the freezing weather! Minami Fuyuki is a Hokkaido local who takes an immediate interest in Tsubasa, wanting him to tell her all about city life. Tsubasa tries to resist falling for the blonde beauty—after all, he's supposed to be into prim, proper, raven-haired girls!—but there's no resisting Minami's electric and boisterous personality. But will his strict grandmother also be able to appreciate her charms, or will Tsubasa be forced to part ways with his first Hokkaido friend? This manga truly stands out in numerous ways. Personally, I find the character development to be exceptional—kudos to the creators for that! The narrative is so engaging that if I were to visualise it as a graph, it would show a thrilling pattern of ups and downs, which adds to the overall appeal of the story. The manga features three heroines, each with distinct characteristics and meanings that resonate with me in different ways. Their individuality enriches the story and adds layers to the overall experience. The side characters in this manga play a pivotal role in elevating the story from good to great. Each onebrings a unique perspective and depth, enriching the main narrative and contributing to the overall themes. Their interactions with the protagonists often give away motivations and emotions, adding sweetness to the plot. These characters not only provide essential support and conflict but also highlight the strengths and vulnerabilities of the main characters, making the story even more engaging and relatable. While there are a few elements that didn't resonate with me as much, I remind myself that it’s fiction. Sometimes, it's perfectly fine to let our imaginations roam free and explore unconventional ideas. My rating is 8.9
I really want to give this a 10/10 but it doesn't compare to masterpieces like Vinland Saga, Berserk, FMA, obviously. But as far as romance manga go, this is a 10/10 in my eyes. The artwork is stunning, with the author occasionally inserting gorgeous full-color pages. The story is fairly unique and has an absolutely adorable and emotional finish, as well as good conflict. I enjoyed reading this quite a bit and was so hooked I binge-read all 119 chapters in two days. If fanservice really bothers you, this might not be for you, but the fanservice is mild and the rest of the artis, as stated, stunning.
Hokkaido gals are super adorable is a beautiful manga, with a story from the everyday life of a boy named Tsubasa, who comes to visit Hokkaido. The fun begins when he meets Fuyuki (Minami), another teenager who quickly became attached to him, forming a close friendship. Along the way, they are joined by other comrades, such as Akino, Rena-Senpai, Matsuo, etc. Therefore, the characters are very well stylized, the external and internal aesthetics are presented in a superb, subtle manner, thus presenting each character's individual traits, each in turn conveying ideas and feelings. I was very surprised by the story, a simple one of its kind, butI appreciate simplicity in relation to beauty. This manga is pure art, in which the author put precious time and soul, every detail being oppressed by it. The story is to my taste and fits my kind of ideas, perspective and so on. This manga is among my favorites, I laughed, I was amazed by the author's transition from the first page to the last, I enjoyed every moment of the manga, I cried, I was happy to see Tsubasa with his friends. The drawings are much better done nowadays and I respect Ikada a lot for the work he has done. This manga has something very special, it is part of everyday life, a set of values that we acquire in society. I really liked the alternation between romance and comedy. Almost a year has passed since I started the manga, and I can't believe it's over, it's only logical that this should happen, but I still think about those exceptional moments of young Tsubasa. Thank you Ikada!!!!
I was never really an anime / manga guy, I have been working through stuff myself in life and I had a friend suggested I read manga to help with my reading and spelling after seeing I was getting into Anime, so I did. This is not the first Manga I have read, but it is the first I have completed the entire way through. I'm your bog Standard Man's Man, Beard, hairy chest, beer, hard-working, lost good friends and people I cared about didn't even shed a tear (as i said, a mans man). But the entire way through this, I couldn't help butfind myself rooting for the main characters, their building romance and the will they / won't they love, that made me crave to read more every night. I have finished all 14 volumes, up to the very last chapter with the thank you message. And without spoilers reading the last volume I felt like I had fallen in love with the characters myself, I felt warm and happiness, it even brought tears to my eyes I was so happy when I finished it. This manage has left me wishing I could have romance and connection that deep with someone. Honestly one of the best Romance stories I have ever heard and read, I have also been reading "Rent A Girlfriend" and its good, but this just defined romance for me. I am sad it was only 14 volumes, I could have read a new manga every year following their lives. And after season 1 of the anime I'm honestly now excited to see the next season and tear up again.
