Pros: -Art -Carsein and the father (the only characters I liked) The whole premise was for the female lead to be a strong female knight. She tried so hard and after a while, the female lead literally was weak even at the end. People were always getting hurt for her while she couldn't do anything which frustrated me. Also, the male lead was a jerk in their previous life. Yes, he may have changed but he only changed after the female lead wasn't interested in him/was scared of him in the beginning. Also, that "trauma" that she went through in her previous life was severe yet she stillended up falling for the ML despite the kindness she received from other love interests.
From the moment of her birth, Aristia La Monique was told she would become the empress. She trained every day, all so that one day, she would stand as an equal beside Crown Prince Ruvellis Kamaludin Shana Castina. But her efforts were in vain; hated by Ruvellis, she is cast aside in favor of the otherworldly girl Jieun. Now a mere queen in charge of governmental affairs, her happiness, pride, and family are stolen from her. In the end, she is executed by the very man who held her heart. However, what awaits her is not the afterlife, but the world of seven years ago. Armed with the knowledge of future events, the forsaken former queen sets out to change her fate and hopefully reclaim the life she never had. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
This story is mentally disturbing. I mean when you think that, "strip", " Killing baby ", " Licking shooes ", " Killing her" Moments And the truma she had endured by emperor someone will think that she will hate him.Any reasonable person would hate that person in each timeline. And she herself said that , " If she given a second chance she will not love him(emperor) " . Well this story does not resolve how real love should be?. Story started on high note ended with big disappointment. This story doesn't justify the beginning and ending. Now that I think about she isjust a crazy lady with lot of issues.
the manwha takes on the generic troupe for the villainess to be MC but manage to shows how much of a victim the MC was and how putrid the people surrounded her to be. It was an amazing first few chapter with a clear villain to the story and how we root for the MC. i really love the deconstruction take of the typical troupe the story manage to do in the early part of the story. You get to see the psyche of each character and finding out who truly loves the MC and wasnt do it to save himself. With fairly good artand pacing you continue to read only to be spit of by the latter half of the story The plot goes on a horrible turn introducing many Deus ex Machina mechanic with an unsatisfying ending that throw away all of the growth you've seen from all the character. You can clearly see the ending the author want, but due to bad excecution it was almost mocking its own story. i can safely say to not reccomend you reading this from story alone. There are many story worth more your time but it is still an amazing experience to go through considering it makes me care for the MC and some of its character
Summary: Aristia la Monique is sent back into her younger self's body in order to re-face her destiny as an aristocrat fated for the prince. She works to change her own fate in the process. Overall score: 8/10; This work earns a personal higher score but with a Mixed Feelings recommendation, as there are many elements of this series that don't match up with what one would do themselves if they were in Aristia's shoes. Without spoiling the ending, there are three main love interests with whom Aristia works through her relationships. Two end up left behind, and one prevails. It is likely the original novel'sintent to show why the other two should be left behind so that the winner can be justified most thoroughly in winning Aristia's heart. However, in the webcomic, there are few reasons presented as to why she wouldn't work out in relationships with the other two (and as romantic relationships, they could have been explored in depth, but are sadly not). As a romance story with a center of Aristia finding her individuality, I find that the romance itself gives very little and the individuality storyline is the way to go here. Her relationship with her father is lovely, and she truly aims to change her fate in any way she can. TLDR; as a romance story, this is a mixed bag of how much one may enjoy it. As a story of a young girl trying to find herself and defy fate, this is a great story.
(marked no spoiler as everything is kept vague below. ps 3ML was the *only* ML were this even a decent story) This is a story where a woman, after suffering a lonely upbringing and toxic marriage as a second wife, regresses back to her childhood upon her execution. She is intent to never repeat what she was endured in the first life and worked diligently to truly never repeat it. In doing so, she meets and befriends the 2ML and 3ML. Better yet, she repaired her estranged relationship with her father. However, the story takes a sharp decline within seconds of the FL achieving herfirst goal that was to set her up to having zero chance of repeating her first life. Because, after that, excuses are thrown in and she grew complacent. She is then no different than she was in her first life, save a few different relationships in her life. All that growth? Gone. FL was presented to have a happy ending. Despite it being anything but. And, no, it doesn't read as intentional irony. All that said, to be fair, the art was amazing yet the artist was facing death threats. So the adaption concluded at even lower quality than the poor writing allowed; a good chunk of the final arc was summarized in less than 10 chapters as if a fever dream. In other words, the only thing not adapted are the side stories.
