Have you ever read a series that just makes you feel good with just a mention of it's name? A series that's beyond wholesome without there being much of a story to tell? Futari Ashita mo Sorenari ni is that series for me. I picked it up on a whim after seeing some panels on twitter a while back, and I have to say, this is easily in my favorite series of all time. // Story : 9/10 The story isn't anything too complicated, but that's what makes it work. The textbook definition of a slice of life, giving us an inside view of Yuuya and Rio's lives. Yuuya andRio are a couple who both want to get married some day, but don't really know how to approach the topic, instead choosing to stay lovey-dovey for a while as boyfriend and girlfriend. The direction of the story is now pretty obvious, the goal being marriage. But the presentation is something i'm going to have a hard time explaining through words, since most of this series' most wholesome moments are actually shown through the simple yet amazing art. The story isn't anything too special, it's a slice of life packed to the brim with wholesome moments that'll have you squirming like a girl at each step of the way, and that is what, to me, makes it shine. // Art : 9/10 The art looks great. The characters are really well drawn, and the style is consistent throughout. As I mentionned earlier, most of the wholesome moments are shown through the art, and that's actually true. May it be through facial expressions or the typical "shiny beams of light" around the characters, the art really lets the characters' emotions and expressions shine, while keeping it simple enough that you don't have to spend 10 minutes trying to appreciate every little detail on the page. It gets across the main point that the story is trying to tell really well, with amazing character designs and facial expressions. // Character : 10/10 I won't be talking about the side characters here, as I want to focus on Rio and Yuuya. There wasn't much in terms of development here, they were already dating for a few years when the series started. What makes me give this section a 10/10 is their interactions. They go so well together, as if they were made for one another. Some may say that if nothing goes wrong, that's a bad sign, but this series was made to be heartwarming, and I have to give the mangaka credit, he (or she) pulled it off excellently. I got attached to them insanely quickly, and I think anyone who even remotely enjoys laid back SoL's will too. // Enjoyment : 10/10 I just had to give this section a 10/10. While there were some chapters that focused on some secondary characters that I didn't find as interesting, the overall experience with this series was an amazing one. When I first caught up, I was reading it weekly, but then fell out of the loop, and only caught up recently, the day of me writing this review. Catching up to the last few chapters really reminded me how much I cherished this series and it's cast. Some may think that i'm overdoing it, but the way this series presents it's story and characters really had me hooked for how simple and wholesome it was. Yes, I used the word wholesome a lot in this review, but it's probably the only word I could think of that could describe this series in an accurate manner. // Overall : 10/10 Personal bias made me give the overall a 10/10, but realistically, i'd've given it a 9/10. The art is simple, and so is the story, but it's such an easy series to get into, and the cast is so loveable that I just had to give this an overall 10/10. A great series to read if you need a boost of happiness or are just looking for a really wholesome and short read!
After dating for a year and three months, the unruffled Yuuya Aida asks his beautiful girlfriend Rio Aihara to move in with him. Despite busy work schedules and their age difference, their love for each other never wavers. Be it frisky fights over who ate the last pudding or serious conversations about their future together, Yuuya and Rio still find themselves nervous and bashful around each other, reminiscent of the early days of their relationship. Yet their adorable everyday dynamic is nothing short of the joy and giddiness of a couple's true love. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
This is one of those mangas that are made to heal your weary heart. We get our two main characters, Yuuya and Rio, who are deeply in love with each other and have been going out for quite some time already, and has just moved in together. Rio feels a bit of a complex because Yuuya is younger than him, however, since Yuuya has eyes for Rio, and for Rio only, this isn't much of a problem. The problems they go through are pretty much the same as any normal, real-life couple would, so their relationship feels really grounded. Besides that, their interactions arelovely, and the rest of the cast are quite lovable too. The art is the weaker side of this manga, but since it is a romantic slice of life, it isn't a problem at all. The character's expressions are simple, but expressive, and they help conveying their emotions. The characters are the keystone of this manga. They all feel alive, and even the secondary relationships like the one of the manager are great. As one could expect from what I've said already, the enjoyment is a solid 10/10. Either if you want a romance manga, a regular slice of life, or a comfy story to heal your soul, Futari Ashita mo Sorenari ni is quite the perfect pick. Overall, I rate this manga a 9/10 only because I feel it could have delved a bit on the "subplots" (like the relationship of the manager, he deserved happiness too!), but it still had a suitable ending, and it's something I'll probably come back after a few months.
It takes two tomorrow, too. Reading that title the first time, I was kind of confused, but on the good side, *wink. And once I finished this manga, I can see why. Plus, it was pretty adorable too! I don’t usually use the word adorable with my romance especially if there’s no kids involved, but this story is just that even without kids or cute pets! Just seeing this cute couple together and being silly with each other is just adorbs! But before I’ll tell you more about what I think of this manga, let me give you a very short summary on what this story isall about. It takes two tomorrow, too is a short story detailing the life of the couple Yuya and Rio after they moved in together. Was it the perfect choice? Or was it a disaster? And as you can see on my stars above, this one was a hit! I’ve been constantly reading intense manhwas lately, so this manga is definitely a nice breeze of fresh air, and I love that! This story started with the couple agreeing into moving in together and the rest after was showcasing what their life has become after living together. Most of my romance just ends with the couple getting together or getting married, so it was pretty interesting to read a story about the couple’s life after living on one roof. Another thing I love about this story was the fun interaction of the couple, as well as some other side characters as well. Which mind you, makes sense in real life too. So I really like that. The couple’s scenario was also different in each chapter, so I’m sure you can find one or more favorites, *wink. As for the art, I think it fits well with the story. The pacing and panel were also pretty easy to read and follow. As for the character design, I think both fit each other’s personality pretty well. So no complaints on that one, *wink. Overall, it was a fun read. I just love how free and content I feel after finishing this story. That said, I think the number of chapters for this volume is perfect for me (though I’ll be retracting the remaining .5 star for the next volumes, *wink). Definitely a short read done right! If you are looking for a good read to relax, then It Takes Two Tomorrow, Too is it!
I don't think the story felt new it's like a longer and much 'calm' version of romance that we see in any shounen. I liked the art style (normal ,not to good or bad),romance manga generally have really nice artstyle ,it was fitting along with the story. As for character mc is just a dump nerd like me (and probably you, which was why you were reading it) his girlfriend is beautiful, kind and caring(can't expect three things in reality). What liked about it was that "it ended where it should have ended",for pacing I think it wasn't bad, it didn't felt too long or too short. Sorryfor any grammatical error (english is my third language so there will be some mistakes I guess)
This review may contain minor spoilers. Futari Ashita mo Sorenari ni is a wholesome romantic slice-of-life story about a couple already in a relationship. If you’re looking for a comfy read with no drama, this is the one for you. Plot: 8/10 – This is a simple read. It’s a peek into the lives of our titular characters, Yuuya Aida and Rio Aihara. It’s a story about the everyday challenges that living together presents. While simple, it’s very effective. Not every day is drama riddled or amazing. Sometimes, it’s the little things like going shopping together or waiting up for the other to come homeat night. This story does a great job of portraying that happiness. We also see a bit of the side characters relationships as well. The author doesn’t delve too deep into their stories, but as most of this is told from Rio or Yuuya’s perspectives, it feels natural. Characters: 9/10 – Yuuya Aida is our male lead. He’s shy and awkward, but his love for Rio is unending. Rio Aihara is our dependent, cool, older female lead. She has a bit of a complex dating a man younger than her, and it really drives her character at times. Both of these characters feel real. They react to situations normally instead of dramatically like in some romances. Each of them have fleshed out families, friends, and work lives. The small side stories including these other characters are fun and engaging. Everything in this manga feels just right. Nothing is too much or too little. I was a little daunted by the 80+ chapters for a slice-of-life, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quick of a read it was. The chapters are a little shorter to make them easier to digest. This makes the snapshots into their daily life feel more realistic; not every day is packed to the fullest of happenings. Overall, this is a really comfy read. It was cute, romantic, and easy to digest. I would recommend this to people looking for a decent relationship, a simple read, and an enjoyable time. Perfect for right after reading that heavy shounen work!
