Constellations in My Palm

The main theme for this manga is stars, and the wide sky seen at night, with all it's twinkling little stars... and of course it is about the relationship between two guys. The story explores the awkward relationship between two cousins- Enji and Mizuho. It starts out as the relationship between two "strangers", despite the fact that their families are supposed to meet eachother every year, they haven't seen eachother for seven years, because Mizuho decided to avoid Enji for a reason [which is shown in the manga]. Normally, when I see the genre "yaoi" I automatically think of little plot and a lot of malex male sex [they normally outbalance eachother in that way, regardless of what a lot of people may thing]. However, this story was completly reversed to that general impression. You could even say that the first four chapters are strictly shounen-ai, and that at a VERY light level. The art was very standard, I have no idea if I should call it beautiful, or bland and overdone. Because, I think it was a mixture of them all. I found it beautiful in that I could easily distinguish all the characters, yet bland in that I have seen it SO many times [it is pretty typical shoujo art]. I enjoyed it, however- and did not find it hard to read at all. The characters are probably also one of the strong points of this manga, especially the two main characters [though I found Mizuho a bit annoying from time to time, with all his doubts and unnecesary complaints and misunderstandings]. I really liked Enji though- he's the typical "I want to tell him SO badly... but....-lets tell him- [ends in complete failure]" =(=( Kind of guy. xD I really enjoyed this manga- try it! ;)
