Allright then. Finished this manga and I wanted to say a bit about it because I have mixed feelings and the synopsis MAL gives you is pretty crappy as of right now. āAll of Humanity is Yuri Except For Meā is a relatively short manga about a girl who suddenly finds herself in a world where men donāt exist. She starts panicking and questioning if all of this is real but calms down when she gets in contact with a girl who agrees to believe her story. From there on out they try to find clues as to how this happened as well as howto reverse it, while in the meantime the fact that this other girl falls in love with her complicates things a bit. The start seemed very promising to me. I like parallel worlds, I like yuri and I like mysteries that need to be solved. It sounded like a safe manga to read to have a good time. And looking at it afterwards it still kinda was, but not as good as I hoped it to be. I did like the characters and the setting, and I also liked the determination of the protagonist to set things straight, both with getting back to her original world and her friendship with the second girl. However after around the halfway point it became pretty clear what the rest of the manga will focus on: the protagonist trying to get home and the romance getting tenser and more exciting. And donāt get me wrong, those were both things that were āadvertised to be thereā from the very beginning. My problem is with the fact that everything else is kind of neglected. For example: The whole fact that the entire world consists of nothing but girls. You know, the whole title of this manga? In the first like 2 chapters this matters, but in by far the larger second half it doesnāt matter whatsoever. Itās a different world than the one the protagonist came from and thatās it, the fact that the difference is that all men are gone doesnāt really affect the story at all. Another thing I could complain about is that side characters only appear for a very short time and then just become irrelevant, but I guess thatās to be expected from a short manga. You should read this if: - You like the isekai genre (but donāt think about it too much) - You like having an all-girl cast - You want to have a short read with some decent yuri romance in it You shouldn't read this if: - You take world-building very seriously - You donāt like it after the first chapter (it will be a lot more of that) - You donāt like yuri at all (in which case, how did you even get here?) Initial score: 8.0/10 Final score: 7.0/10 [Also at the time of writing this there were no other reviews for this manga yet, so here you go!]
Marika Uruuno is enamored with normality. To fall in love, get married, and build a familyāthis is her idea of normal. One day, on her way to meet up with her best friends and walk to school together, Marika turns a corner to find them kissing each other. Though shocked to see such intimacy, as her friends have never displayed this kind of behavior before, she decides to think nothing of it. However, her lingering unease is validated when she arrives at her formerly co-ed school, where all of her classmates are now girls. It seems as though Marika has wandered into a world where men no longer exist! In a panic, Marika heads to the nurse's office to calm down. There she meets Lily Kazami, who is reading a book on parallel universes. Although she is ignored at first, Marika ends up telling Lily about her bizarre situation. Setting aside her disbelief, Lily offers to assist Marika on the condition that they go out together. Can Marika grow accustomed to a world that pushes the boundaries of normalityāand can Lily help her escape it? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
It was pretty good considering how short it was, but the ending was not thought out well and felt rushed, I don't wanna spoil anything, but there were at least 2 things that just don't add up or make sense. Like the author came up with it on the spot, wrote it down and never gave it a second thought. The art was decent although not very detailed, the characters were likeable specially Lily, but there is almost no character development seeing how short it is, I don't even know why the side characters were given full names, the story was also entertaining. If thiswas a normal length manga I might feel differently, but you can read this on a lunch break so there is no reason not to.
This was surprisingly good I was looking for another yuri and found this by mistake, and then i started to read What catch me at first was the premise (a yuri world with only girls????? is this the heaven??????!!),,, and according story was unfolding and new elements were surging, i got more and more envolved, and i usually dont into sci-fi things despite love space-time travells and things like that The artstyle is good and i can say unique, doesnt seem sloppy at any moment, what is very rare in short mangas that seems like they cant be the main focus of the mangaka at the momment (despiteone frame where the hand anatomy doesnt look quite right). Its a short read, and i felt a bit rushed sometimes like usual in theses cases, but this is very well maded considering the number of chapters and how much elements are presenting I would like to see more of the end, what happened in the other world, i was thinking "how would be the encounter of she with herself?" and things like that, but im still satisfied with the final And i would like to see more of they as a couple or having any lazing momments through the story, i think that would add a better pacing and also turn all much more significant, they starting to sparkle wich each other, yknow? Worth a lot, and its a shame that so low rate, so just give a chance like i did
