Baki-dou

Following Baki's encounter with the Legendary Musashi Miyamoto, Itagaki tries to explore how the modern martial artits we have come to know and love fair against one of japan's own martial disciplines, Sumo. In itself, that idea is as cool as any of the other match-ups Baki has explored over the years, Although personally, not being that interested in sumo myself, I did feel less attached to the characters presented in this entrance than the previous ones. If you read Baki up to this point you don't need any introductions, this manga beauitifully and skilfully displays one of japan's oldest martial arts in all it'sglory, and it really is educational for those of us who know nothing about it in the first place.
