This manga is very much a compilation of ghost stories, which is not particularly my cup of tea as far as horror goes, but nonetheless, there was definitely a story or two in here that landed pretty well for me, with the rest being fairly unnoteworthy. I think the most obvious improvement to this manga would be the art. It's quite plain and a bit repetitive. There's that one face, that wasn't particularly scary, but they kinda just kept using it. I'd say that these stories are quite hit or miss, but they're short enough that it's not an unworthwhile read.
Very hit or miss. I still check over my shower curtain when taking a shower because of Fuan no Tane, and some of the faces still stick with me. I can't say the same for this compilation. The stories aren't that frightening, neither in a jump-scary way nor a lingering way, and they're very forgettable. I do like the theme of everyone relating stories they heard or experienced, and some of them were genuinely a little creepy, but only a little. I also like that the stories only aimed to be creepy, it felt more like campfire tales which I enjoyed the feeling of. I felt ShiroIhon by the same author pulled off the theme better and had more creepy moments, though.
