I started out liking this manga the characters some of them were fun and the main guy was well done, and likeable and several of the girls very nice. One the dark skin short hair was more and more obnoxious and the dark hair leader of the club increasingly abusive. In the end I have dome to think the author is trolling the readers, making them accept trash more and more. Sad for it might have been really fun with a nice flavor of Ecchi instead it is just a nasty slide down hill. The story at times was light hearted and fun, and there was evensome nice development with the MC and some of the girls even the ones who started antagonistic, but over time none of them were allowed to develop any real feelings for the MC, while he more and more was just a target for abuse which is really not much fun in a story chapter after chapter. The ecchi serves as a lure and bait. In the end even it becomes tiresome. i would say it is a sad use of the author's talents.
After years of being unlucky with girls, Daito Ishimaru only wishes to enjoy his high school life with a normal, cute girlfriend. However, after losing a game to his two new seniors Kiyoka Sasahara and Asami Tomochika, he is forced to join the "Humanism Studies" club, which is actually a torture studies club. Will Ishimaru get the normal high school life he always wanted? (Source: MU)
I'll make this very simple.. if you like ecchi comedy harem hijinks then it genuinely doesn't get much better than this manga. The balance of story, ecchi, harem, cute art and frequent laugh-out-loud comedy is just totally on-point. Don't be fooled by the torture element as it really serves as a great comedy-foil (without being over-used) to play off the character's antics. Also don't be fooled by any overly pretentious reviews as this very much sits in the sweet spot between comedy, action, romance & drama that never takes itself too seriously but equally never becomes too episodic. There's plenty of cheeky mischief perfectly balanced withengaging story arcs and naughty 'accidents' that really make for an addictive read that's just hard to put down. If you're familiar with Seitokai Yakuindomo and it's excellent comedy-timing then this delivers equally but with a much more consistent story, satisfying ending and character's you'll grow to love. Everyone has their penchant (and Ship) but personally I really rate the character art-work (Prez ftw!) and well-blaanced pacing where the story never felt too slow or fast. As to the harem, well I won't spoil things too much but again if you enjoy harem shenanigans for what they are then this also delivers with sufficient 'progress' without overly spoiling the dynamic; which is some feat as a majority of harem-enjoyers will know.. precious few authors are able to successfully pull off that trick. It's a real shame this isn't available in a licensed English version as it'd be a great addition to the collection. That said with a surprising number of original manga titles getting anime adaptations these days, just maybe we'll be blessed (or cursed in the event of a bad studio!) with this also being picked up. Fingers crossed!
The basic premise of this manga wasn't all that unique. After all, your average everyday Japanese highschooler being forced to become a member of a weird club with 5 hot chicks isn't exactly new. The characters are also all average with generic personalities (Rich Girl, Big titty Senpai, Tanned Foreign Return Girl, Man Hating Girl, A useless Sensei who's the club advisor), and while the concept of a 'torture club' is new, it's basically serves as justification for showing the girls in erotic positions, and toy with the MC. The art was nothing to write home about. Basically while I somehow made it through theending, I have nothing to say about this manga that stands out. The ending was typical for harem trash from this era, and while I won't spoil it explicitly you can easily guess what happens. So yeah only read this manga if you're REALLY into the school life/SOL/Harem genre ( I am), and have nothing better to do. Cause there are soo many better harem manga than this.
Started great, but too much useless water for most of the time. First 40 chapters are the ones that will develop every single main girl and right in the next chapter they should confess their fellings, but they don't. That is my biggest problem with the story. Too much useless information, too much bad things. Main girls are weird, they like to treat MC like garbage for no reason. He proved himself too much times, but no. I don't like that the girls start to have feelings for him, yet did NOTHING till the very fucking end. I didn't like that Mc is your regular Rito fromto love ru, who does nothing, always in monk mode, he will never be fallen to girls beauty, bloody fantastic. Let's talk about girls and my problems with them: Tomochika, Asami - the first one who is a sadist basically, I don't like her. She doesn't like mc, yet for some fucking reason close to the end she confessed to him, great. Mc and her didn't really had any connection to begin with, just some bullshit. Tsuruse, Riko - the cancer of the story - the one who hates man because they perverted, hates mc, even when he helped her countless times, still the same, yet in the end she also likes him, great. The worst character of the story, the way she treated Mc is nonsense really, If I would him, I would just punch her and say fuck you. Sakado, Karen - why is she the main character? She is not. A teacher that appears for a bit, then disappears for most of the story. Don't like her. Mitomori , Wakaba - a childhood friend of mc who returned from america. She likes him, yet does very little. I don't hate her, but she is underdeveloped. Sasahara, Kiyoka - a garbage character that I hated. The girls that mc likes for some fucking reasons, I guess because she has big oppai, yet she always ruins everything for me, when mc has great moments with other characters, there we have here to make it worse, she is like Tsuruse - a garbage character. Daito is your regular mc, who doesn't have any balls (literally), he always wants to help anyone, yeah, yeah, we all know this type of characters. Ending - it is nonsense. Author ruined it completely, he didn't choose anyone for the mc, like to be continued and that is it. I think it was a mistake. Should you read it? Ecchi is above average, not to love ru level unfortunately, but at least something. The story is funny sometimes, not too long. I think you shouldn't
