I want to give it a 8 because of the bittersweet ending however because of the emotions it made me feel I give it a 9. Prepare a box of tissues or get some toilet paper because that ending will bring out the waterworks! I hated the fact that it was an open ending yet also sort of like it because it makes you feel stronger emotions. It is one of those manga's that leaves you desperately wanting an answer as to what happens in the ending while also thinking about it and feeling empty inside or like something is missing. Definitely recommend! That aside the artis really nice & the chemistry between the characters is also really good!!!
Ao ni naku has a mundane yet mysterious story which keeps you asking questions throughout the manga. It can be quite confusing at times but most of that is cleared up towards the end. If you enjoy artstyles similar to Jujustu Kaisen, you'll find this art breathtaking. With choppy lines and a simple style of shading it manages to look bold and edgy while still delivering on the romance and supernatural parts of the plor. The characters aren't the driving force of this story, but while they weren't the most captivating personalities out there, they still managed to seem real, like any guy you'd meet walking downthe street. They had real passions and interests and fell in love slowly and realistically. While i found that it got a little too complicated towards the end i still enjoyed this manga and it's inceptions very much for an overall score of 8.
A young man finds an amnesiac guy who's dressed like a pilot, and a (rather confusing) sequence of events begins to unfold. (Source: MU)
