STORY: The story is about a duke that is cursed by a witch to kill everything he touches and his daily life with his servants on a secluded estate. These servants love him a lot despite the curse. And the story progresses to meeting new friends and enemies as they try to remove the curse. It's like a slice of life but with gothic/morbid undertones. And despite that, it is a manga that is quite safe for young readers. That to me is one hidden gem, considering the amount of adult stuff put in anime/manga nowadays. ART: The Victorian/Gothic design is very fitting for the theme of death. It reminds me of those stories that seem for children but have dark humor. CHARACTER: They're all quite interesting. Like, they are all trying to live normally despite their weird circumstances. ENJOYMENT: I enjoyed all the chapters, but all things come to an end. Just like our lives. OVERALL: This manga reminds us that we cannot take things for granted and that death is always there, waiting to happen. Like in the old saying, Memento Mori. Thanks for reading my review and God bless.
Cursed by a witch as a child, a young duke gained the unwanted power to kill every living thing he touches. Forced to move away from his family and into a large mansion deep in the woods, the duke is treated as if he does not exist and is continually shunned by his peers. However, he is not entirely alone. Rob and Alice, his butler and maid, are always by his side. Alice loves to tease him, and as their relationship grows, the duke makes it his goal to break free from his deadly curse. Of course, he is going to need some help, and who better to do this than the various inhabitants of the supernatural? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
ok so simply one of the best things i have ever read. seriously, I read it 2 times while it was still being released and now I finally read it in full, and like, I was already looking forward to it because it was already one of my favorite mangas, but it was simply even better than I expected!! there were several things that came out of the classic clichΓ©s, for example the duke not being that badass protagonist etc, which only made me love him even more. sure, he had his moments, but man, him being just a "normal" human being made things even better, seriously. The story is fantastic, held me from start to finish. very unique. the art is simply beautiful. serious. the characters... oh, the characters... perfect. everything is very good in this manga but the characters can be even better. (minus walter i hate you walter (but not that much)). anyway, there's no way, if I didn't give it a 10 I'd be crazy. i love everything about this manga. and that's it. (english is not my first language so... I don't think I need to explain more than that, thanks for reading!!!)
Shinigami Bocchan was my introduction to romcoms. It's a fun to read series with cute and enjoyable interactions between characters. The plot which is focused at the second half of the series was good. The way the plot was resolved felt kinda meh though, but it wasnt terrible ,I guess. The last chapter did its job ,but it felt really rushed and kinda underwhelming. I really enjoyed the art,it's one of a kind and manages to convey the atmosphere's feelings really well. The character desings are really nice and cute .It's really easy to read and the panelling feels smooth and good. The cast is really enjoyable to watch.Their interactions and charactersare well made.I really enjoyed watching them Overall, Shinigami Bocchan is a nice series,if one wants to read a romcom ,then I would recommend the series.
