I'm starting to love yaoi and incest more and more . But it can be hard at times to decide what to read since incest tries the 'we are not related' troup and yaoi has it's own problems I don't wanna get into at the moment . Doesn't mean I hate every troup but some people really hate these troups and it makes deciding for good manga hard. So I picked this up at random and I honestly love it and it doesn't have these annoying troups some people detest. Story-9 There are 2 stories. One focuses on a uncle and his nephew falling in love. The other focuses on a teacher and a student in an prep school. Relax the student is old enough for consent if you may get bothered by that. They both have heart. I cried in each chapter for these characters struggles. It is in a way realistic. For example being bossed around for your life, being scared of being abandoned, and having problems expressing love. It is also a great mix of comedy and drama. The only problem is I think the characters did say I love you a bit too quick and pacing can be a bit too fast but it is a short manga so I can forgive it for that. Overall it's a great story and I really love it. Characters 9 There are five main characters and 3 sides. And they have some depth and four mains do development there relationship. Given this manga is short I don't ask for a big characters development . The bonds are great. Especially the uncle and oldest nephew there my favorite. Overall even though there isn't development of sorts out side of relationships it's still a great cast of characters. Art 8 The art is smooth and fits the tone and characters designs stand out. I liked them. Enjoyment 10 I really love it. It's heart warming,at times realistic, and the characters were very nice. And the art is cute and reminds me of a shoujo. Overall 9 It's not perfect but it's great. I recommend it especially to lovers of incest, yaoi, and teacher and student relationships.
The businessman Mayama Karou's life changes drastically when his two nephews show up on his doorstep. Keigo (16) and Akio (5) were abandoned by their father and driven out of their apartment. Despite the fact Kaoru has had no contact with their family, he's too kind-hearted to say no and takes them in. Soon the three of them start leading a warm, happy family life. However, Keigo suddenly kisses him one day. Was it a sign of family affection or something more? [Written by shinkeikaku]
Although I do love plot, every once and a while, I love to sit down and read a little plotless romance. And that's basically what this was; plotless. Not to say it wasn't very enjoyable. Story- 6 The story is that Karou, a working class man finds two kids on his doorstep one day, one a teen and another a small child. They say they are his nephew's and need somewhere to stay since their father abandoned them. The older, Keigo, falls for Karou and things progress from there. There are a lot of holes in the story, basically with the fact that things are rather convenient. Karoulives alone, the boys have absolutely no where else to go, etc, etc. Not much happens, and the only problem that ever occurs is rather minimal. With no real climax or twists along the way, the story is predictable. I could have given you the ending before I started reading. Art-8 This may just be a matter of opinion, but I actually really enjoy the artwork in this manga. Most especially Akio and Keigo, the youngest characters of the series. They are rather cute and I adore their hair. The backgrounds are rather generic, but the character art is decent enough. Character-6 As for the overall design of the characters, they aren't very original. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've seen the design for the main character about a bazillion times! The child reminds me so much of Hunny from Ouran High School Host Club it's ridiculous. Keigo was adorable but I've seen him about twenty times. The other reoccurring characters were so generic that you could switch them and I probably wouldn't have noticed... Karou, the uncle, is seriously boring. There is zero characterization with him, other than the fact that he has a somewhat kind heart for taking in these boys. Keigo, the love interest, was your generic 'heart of gold' character. (Actually, now that I think about, the entire basis of the relationship in the story was 'He's so kind, so I should love him in a sexual intimate way!') Akio, the youngest boy, was basically a little Lolita that was there to cure boredom and to intrude on any sexual tension. His chibi cuteness though was awesome. He really pulled it off! Enjoyment-8 I sincerely enjoyed this manga. The romance was sweet, pure, and a breath of fresh air from all the angst you see now-a-days in most manga. It's very light hearted and sweet. If you are looking for a little fluff-muffin, you found a perfect match in this manga. Also, my worst fear about reading this was that it may be like the anime 'Papa to Kiss in the Dark', which I sincerely DID NOT enjoy. Unlike that manga, 'Papa I Love You' is always consensual and the feelings seem true and not based on lust... which, even though I do enjoy being smutty sometimes, is not the way I love to go. This manga re-enforces the point that the way to yaoi lovers heart is a good, pure hearted romance like this one. Overall, a 7. A decent romance. But not to say a decent plot.
