I am rather shocked that this manhwa (read right to left) has not received the proper recognition yet. Besides the amazing martial art illustrations and historical value, this manhwa could be a stand alone comedy. The author has mastered the art of comic relief in this story through Yongbi's horse (as well as other characters). That horse alone has enough character to be the main protagonist of a manga. Without fail, you will be laughing out loud or at least breathing heavily through your nostrils as you read this manwha. Other than the comedy, this manwha has an interesting story and main character. As of rightnow, I am 56 chapters into this manhwa and the story is progressing along in a smooth fashion, slowly building towards an exhilarating climax. The main character still has a lot of mystery around his past as well as his skills. I really enjoy reading stories that do not divulge the whole history of a main character, but rather allow you to learn about them the more you read the story. His martial art skills are also something that is not so easily revealed in this story; meaning that the author did not place all his cards out on the table in revealing the full strength and skill of a character. This suspense of how skilled he really is adds to the overall anticipation of the story progression. Note that even with 56 chapters, each chapter is on average 30+ pages in length. That is quality time spent reading the new chapter releases! I highly recommend this manwha for those of you who enjoy a well made martial arts shounen with pristine comedic moments.
Yongbi is a bounty hunter without fear or reproach. Especially without fear, actually. Despite his greed and his penchant for drinking (fortunately shared by his faithful horse) and women, Yongbi is still a charming young man. And when a boy carrying a medallion, source of much envy, finds himself under the protection of the adventurer, those who cross their path must prepare for the worst! (Source: Random Scanlations)
Among the best. Totally worth reading. Concise storyline with just the right amount of comedy and drama merged into a wonderful adventure. There are few mangas that can envolve you this much with its main characters, give the proper value to its secondary characters and make you dive deep into its history. I am looking forward to its sidestory to be translated and released. Also looking to understand where the storylines of Yongbi and Gosu find each other. Anyway, after reading Gosu I wouldnt expect less from the author. Hoping to read his following works throughout life once he's fully recovered.
#spoiler This is underrated manga or manhwa? I read this because its in the some world with gosu (but different time) and it's darker than gosu, I thought it just a manga with normal story or so, but as I read further,.. demn it was good, even I rate it better than gosu.. because it has op mc with dark past and the mc is forgotten about that, and the plot is not boring. many mystery that unsolved, I don't know why the english translation is not completed yet but I;m sure it was okay to read as now as it is.
