Could have been a great great manga, if mangaka didn't plan to axed it. It's sad, storyline from this manga is better than the new alternative version, where they kept all the characters from this manga but changed their origin. In the alternate version they couldn't justify the character development of Wazu in the mountain arc, while this one had better explanation. Art of the story is pretty fine and as always 10/10 for me (my common rating for manga arts). Story arcs are well defined and each characters holds a good explanation with their characteristics except the elf Yuzuna, because his motive aren't well defined.That's a failed explanation there. Story is based around a 15 year old boy named Wazu who is useless in every term of working sense. For Wazu only dream is to getting married with his childhood friend Aria, the current holy woman of the capital. Wazu's dream shatters after he come to know Aria is going to marry the Hero of the capital. That makes Wazu broken heart and motivate him to get stronger and useful to the people so that people would view him above the hero. On his journey he faces many circumstances and overcome them with fellow friends on his adventure.
Wazu was an ordinary townsman who shut himself off in the "mountain" because of an unfortunate course of events. After 2 years in seclusion, he decided to come down from the mountain...
Somewhat Spoiler Free Review! The premise of this manga is great. A overpowered guy goes around looking for a so called тАЬharemтАЭ after getting betrayed of his promise to marry his princess friend that leaves him after a year on a journey without another knight/hero. There is some NTR in this manga, annoying cliches like a dense main character, and stupid delaying romance plot. The MC gets a girl to like him and then they separate and the MC thinks that she dumped him but she is looking for himтАж This has been the premise of the story so far (currently read to 20 chapters.) anddang is it annoying. The art of the story is pretty nooice. Characters are somewhat rememberable, especially their looks and sizes ЁЯдиЁЯУ╕. But, honestly the characters do have some depth into them with their stories and such. The annoying cliches of the manga made me enjoy this manga a lot less then it could have been. Overall with its great art style, character depth, and okay story, unfortunately because of the annoying cliche, I give this a 6/10.
You're reading normally, another sekai story, with magic, dragons, etc... And out of nowhere, the mangaka changes, the style is more "lively", different... but so far ok. The story has its good and bad peaks, no big deal, the protagonist can't get anyone, the romance is tedious, there's more focus on the character and how unstoppable he is... almost that isekai, of the girl who is full defense. But if I focus only on the first part, of the first style of the manga, then yes, he is very good, he is not an overlord of life, but he is good... in the first few caps heis really good... It catches you in several moments of the narrative, but from there it's just decay....
I am leaving reviews for both manga versions of this series? So here as I randomly saw an edit from Tiktok which gave me a bit of nostalgia as I read this series a long time ago? Then I randomly found out it got axed for unknown reasons, so the least I can do is give some closure. This was one of the first fairly original takes I read on action in the magic world. This MC is a good guy, somehow already carrying strength but sticks to his values and philsophies. It's nice to see he isn't a muscle head, the guy is just straight forward to the coreeven it's a longer direction. Combine this with him getting involved with girls equipped with unique personalities and strengths. It's a bummer the series got randomly axed but that's just the reality of Japanese Entertainment. If a random ecchi series featuring a robotic JK with mid popularity could get a show, then the cancellation of Sono Mono is just a sad reminder.
