A short but sweet shoujo ai series that anyone who likes the genre should enjoy. With only 5 chapters, Now Loading...! manages to create some very unique characters, as well as develop them pretty well (better than some 30+ chapter manga). Without spending any time actually telling you about their pasts, you get an idea of it from the dialogue between them. The artwork isn't anything that other manga haven't done before it, but there is nothing wrong with that. However, they say that you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear, and if you expand that principle to their entire wardrobe, then you can also get a good understanding of the characters' personalities, and I feel their clothing was chosen simply to show off characteristics without ever having to mention them; such as Takagi (our main character) wearing quite casual clothing; nothing special, but nothing that you wouldn't want someone to show up to work wearing. Overall, it's a good read, and if you want something that you can start and finish within the same hour, then definitely give Now Loading...! your time.
Takagi just started her dream job at a gaming company! Not only that, but she'll be working for her idol, the famous game designer Sakurazuki Kaori! When Takagi finally meets her hero, she's in for a shock: Sakurazuki is harsh, blunt, and better at playing video games than dealing with people. As Takagi and Sakurazuki work together, the two women grow closer and even fall in love. Can they keep it professional, or will the whole workplace find out? (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)
Ok, so this is my first true review, so if its not amazing in helping saying to read this book... sorry. So what made me want to read this book was the cute art. But as I was reading it, I didn't feel this grand connection to the characters that I love to get. There was no need emotions or meaning to anything that was happening. I know this is a one volume story, but I have gotten that feeling from others and this just wasn't it. Now don't get me wrong, I did enjoy and didn't feel like I wasted me time. I guesswhat I am saying is that this is one that I feel is a good one time read, but not something that I am going to be picking up again or keeping in my collecting. The art work was nothing special, but to me was simple and clean, making it nice to look at. All the characters where unique in their own way, meaning that you are not looking at the same design, except for one having wavy hair and not curly. I don't know, but just the uniqueness of each person made them enjoyable to look at.
Alright, gotta be honest, came here expecting nothing and nothing its what i got... This story has so much potential and ends up in just that. I dont know what it's the point of making such small stories, when you can tell there was so muuuuch more to give and in this format goes so fast that you cant even get to like the characters or empathize with them since every problem is solved in nothing and without effort that you can't feel the weight of them. Yes, the characters are nice, yes the design are pretty and yes the story is interesting... but it is wastedbecause it ends before you can even enjoy it. is it worth reading? nah, there are far better stories out there that actually have proper development.
