Trigger Warning for Suicide Attempts Josou Danshi to Menhera Ojisan is pretty much what the title suggests: A depressed 30 year (that doesn't really look anything like 30) falls in love with a high school crossdresser he finds online and they meet up to have sex. They end up meeting more frequently, but after losing his job the older mans depression takes over and he tries to kill himself. The story is rather unconventional, a little more on the dark side and not the typical cheesy BL some might be used to. There are some time skips, which make the story move along fast without gettingtoo stale. The two main characters develop a somewhat unconventional and somewhat unhealthy relationship in the beginning, which can be linked to the portrayed mental state of both characters at the time. The art style isn't necessarily anything special but does well in discerning itself from other classic BL manga with its softer style. In the end the manga deals with the themes of struggles of self-acceptance and love as well as the wish to live a happy and fulfilling life. The unhealthy power-dynamic between the two main characters wasn't my personal cup of tea but I appreciated the final positive message.
Shun Hayasaka is a cross-dresser in high school who secretly enjoys posting pictures of himself in drag online. This earns him several fans, one of whom is Yasuda, a 32-year-old man suffering from depression who has trouble communicating with others. After they meet up in real life and start having sex on a regular basis, Shun is unsure what to do when Yasuda starts expressing more interest in him than just as a sexual partner. (Source: MU)
