STORY: The story is about student murders but with the concept of parallel worlds and time-traveling. Honestly, I'm so confused at a lot of parts that I had to reread previous chapters. There are a lot of plot twists, so much that I made a few pretzels. ART: Nothing special. CHARACTER: The characters have some crazy in them. I mean, it's a supernatural mystery with crime and drama. And that makes them good for this. The antagonists are so good, that it made me not drop it. Although the main characters do get annoying. ENJOYMENT: I enjoyed it at first, then my brain melted somewhere in between, then it tried to reconstructitself. And I reached the end, kind of satisfied. OVERALL: If I knew how confusing it'll be for me, I would've skipped it. It's not bad, but it hurts my brain with all the complicated stuff. You can try it, just expect some puzzling matters. Thanks for reading my review and God bless.
"Summer, ghosts, and my feelings for you." Yamano is a second-year high schooler in love. One day, out of nowhere, the very object of his affection, Tanigawa, appeared in front of him. As a ghost. It seems that she died after being involved in some kind of incident. To save Tanigawa from death, Yamano gets busy trying to change her future, but— A vague and fleeting youthful mystery. I feel that this was a pretty good mystery romance. There's something about a time-travelling ghost that got me excited, and I'm glad the manga was enjoyable. Yamano is a simple but fun character that was great as the MC. He is smart but not too smart, leaving the mystery open and letting readers feel smart at times. Saki/Tanigawa works well as the FMC, and she does a decent job of not being overly flat as the romantic interest. Having a living and nonliving version of the same character is actually pretty fun! The other characters are pretty simple, but the mysterious tone of each characterkeeps them interesting enough, even after their entire personality is revealed. While normally I like focusing on characters, the mysterious story is the more interesting part here. It's well done and isn't completely obvious at the very beginning. I'm one to general know the basic plotline of an anime or manga fairly early, but this one took a bit more to uncover entirely. At the same time, there are moments where the writing has to be pretty frustrating to keep some things secret either to the reader or the MCs. Chapter 24 was the biggest issue I had with this. The time travel stuff I'm a bit mixed on, as it makes a story complicated, but it works here. The conclusion is overall satisfying as well, which is a nice change of pace compared to the many axed series I've found lately. 8/10 I recommend this as a good read for a mystery story. The story is fun and overall well paced, and the characters aren't overly frustrating. While I'm not sure if it'd be a good reread, the journey was one worth taking.
The whole serie revolves around the 2 main characters, yamano and tanigawa. Back in middle school Yamano find a missing button for Tanigawa. This is where it reveal that yamano got a crush on tanigawa then fast forwarded to highschool, Tanigawa suddenly approach him then reveal to him that she's dead. However, Yamano then found an alive Tanigawa walking around. The dead Tanigawa then told him that she was killed but don't know when or by who. Yamano then go out to try solving the mystery and the two of them (yamano and dead tanigawa) get to know each other more and more along theway. As you can tell from the synopsis, it really feels like slice of life meet supernatural mystery but it really just feel like romance slice of life show. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that it turns out like this but it does feel like the mystery element slowly fell off along the way. Like they constantly trying to solve the case throughout but whenever they're getting serious, there's always something breaking the atmosphere and return it back to slice of life. This serie tries to be a lot but I think the only thing that's decent about it is the romance and since it's a short serie, the build-up feels pretty lackluster because they tries so hard to make the mystery part interesting but what really sold the whole show is the chemistry between the two mc and I'd say the ending did both of them justice by making it emotional. I really don't really know where to continue this review lol so yeah if you're looking for a slice of lifey romance manga with a little mystery on top then I'd recommend it. It did it job pretty well consider it's pretty short (3 hours read for me).
