OK, I just finished reading the manga and what other thing I can do than writing a review. I would like to mention what I like about it first, the art is great it's not hard to look at and it looks like any other good manga art. It's clean and easy to read with the format so I got no complain on that. 9/10. Moving on to character, the characters have a shallow yet easy to memorize and grasp. Most of the time with manga that is short like this, the artist tend to try to go too deep on the characters that it's suffocating andhard to grasp. So, I think the artist did a good job on this. 9/10 Now on the story, I shouldn't have expected much depth from a 10 chapters manga because that is what dissatisfy me the most from reading it. It's a bit cliche that when you start reading it you can imagine the ending a little. So, try your best to not try to imagine it. On the other hand, the artist tried to point out what's what and what's not, like pointing that if the current event different than the one before time leap or not. It's really helpful so that's one thing. Lastly, I would say if the chapters are 20 or 30, this manga would be something really exciting and great because that way, the pace wouldn't be hastened and the artist can go a little bit deeper with the story. Sadly, it's only 10 and I am quite disappointed in that. 7/10 Tip for everyone that wants or going to read this manga, do NOT expect too much and enjoy it as it is without any expectation.
Moriyama Rin was born with an incurable disease. I came to love the girl who spent her high school life hiding that fact. At our last cultural festival, we had our live concert and spent the last moments of the festival together—After that, Rin died. Then, I experienced a time leap... (Source: Amazon)
"i know we have a same feelings" [Slight spoiler warning] a slice of life manga with a musical as the main theme, all pretty much worth it. storyline : starting with the first page of 'regret' Satoshi or the main character looking at the girl he likes (Rin) lying in the hospital, instead of giving a farewell sentence that made Satoshi wss express his feelings which made Rin very angry. Their bitter separation made Satoshi miserable, then whatever happened he returned to the past. My favorite part here is that when Satoshi came to the past everything was in order, he really tried not to hurt Rin'sfeelings (he kinda dumb sometimes) but is still very satisfying. The conflicts provided are quite diverse and neat, well-organized. even though it ended with Rin's death, all of Satoshi's regrets faded. Rin leaves happily & Satoshi starts to be grateful for what he has. artstyle : has a unique & characteristic artstyle. the shape of the panels is pleasing to the eye, not boring and neat. they bring page by page to life. expressions, moving from one scene to another, even the hair details are all worth it. I also personally like the cover. especially when you see it in physical form, it's too beautiful. character: unique personality, nothing annoying. the primember band and the student council president have strong chemistry. they are going well as long as the story goes on. nothing is instantaneous. Rin & Satoshi struggled to bring them all together to form a band that performs as well as this. enjoyment : with a careful & determined main character, all the stories here flow beautifully. Realistic conflicts between friends make this manga highly recommended. If I'm honest, this is looks like orange, but it's more structured version.
'Nidome no Natsu' is a story about words said that one comes to regret, and a change to correct that by going back in time. While going back in time is not something we get to do, having regrets about words or actions is something everyone has experienced at one point. 'Had I not done that', 'Had I not said this', etc. you get the idea. We have all been there. This definitely makes an interesting concept for a story, and this story does a pretty good job at it. The main character's struggle with keeping his emotions bottled up to change 'history' is quitewell represented, with them clearly not just being an on/off switch. The side characters where also interesting, though they were a little stereotypical in personality. But stereotypes are not a bad thing, as long as they don't feel like a drag. This is not the case here, though that may be due to the short length. The art is another good point, which felt fitting for the vibe of the story. Not too 'fluffy', or too 'realistic'. It had a nice middle ground, which you more often find for similarly vibed stories. And that was meant in a positive way. The biggest drawback of the story is the pacing. Initially the pacing is good, it does not go too fast, nor too slow. This allows us to build up to the story in a way that feels natural. However, towards the end the pace picks up quite a bit, making it feel a little harder to truly invest emotionally. Simply, it was too short for its own good, and some additional chapters would definitely have done justice. The same can be said for the side characters too. There were quite a few for the manga its length, and they were not very well fleshed out considering the importance they played.
