The interviews were more engrossing and interesting to me than the story, but I still find the story really good knowing it was a true story. Masaru's personality was straightforward, serious and sincere while Akira has an outgoing personality, and somehow they made it work whatever they had between them. A little tidbit that I find quite endearing was when Masaru texts Akira because he's too shy to say it in person, and how he thinks about it thoroughly before he sends it. Realistic is an understatement when you describe it because it is, and they way the bring the straight guy x gay guystory to life was positively delightful that I am so happy to read that the couple behind this story is still living happily together. I wish them more happiness and contentment and that they may live each day with a smile. It's a really wonderful story. Thank you, Yanagi-san for sharing a piece of your life, and sensei for bringing this story to light. :) <3
Akira has never had a real romantic relationship, and he has told himself since high school that he must not fall in love with straight guys. One day, someone comments on his cooking blog, "Is your skill at cooking despite being a man because you're a homo?" Real love between a heterosexual man and a gay man unfolds after their rocky first communication. The true story reveals the couple's tribulations and transformations of heart. (Source: ANN)
