I will give this manga credit for one thing, it is definitely an interesting concept. The idea of a schoolchild adept with the world of Dragon Ball being thrown into the body of best boy Yamcha had so much interesting and creative potential. That being said, there is a strong emphasis on the "potential" This short manga--emphasis on short--by Mr. Dragon Garow Lee is a cute mini-story that explored the above-stated concept in an entirely proficient way. The art emulated each era of Toriyama's styles present in the story to a surprisingly decent degree and worked as one of the major highlights. My biggest problem iseasily how abridged it is. A concept like this could easily lose its luster after a while, but I'm sure it could have gone on for a bit longer while still retaining its charm. Overall. the manga is criminally short, especially for the clear thought that was put into it. I would love to see how the story would have been handled at other points that were never shown, and I find it a shame that I'll never see them. I'd recommend this story to any Dragon Ball fan looking for a nice 10-minute read. I guess if I had one more minor complaint, the English release's cover is disgusting and is a clear downgrade from the Japanese. Have a nice day!
When a typical high school student attempts to sprint down a set of stairs to get a glimpse up a girl's skirt, he slips and hits his head. The boy wakes up to find that he now inhabits the body of Yamcha within the world of the manga Dragon Ball. Quickly recalling Yamcha's multiple deaths throughout the series and his status as a joke in the real world, the student must now utilize his extensive knowledge of the manga to avoid suffering the original Yamcha's unfortunate fate. all in all its a nice dragon ball spin on the reincarnation/isekai genre. and its a nice pretty short read. read it if you got time its not terrible and its a funny idea for a short manga. basically its just a kid who likes dragon ball a lot and he eats shit and gets reincarnated as yamcha it goes through all the times he fought with goku and its a nice look back on dragon ball as well and what would happen if yamcha was I don't want to say it but actually slightly strong compared to the other characters. just read it bro its5 chapters lol
The art's fine. the overall idea is fine, but that's it. The manga's too short to do anything interesting with the concept stretched over such a long timeline. It doesn't really explore the training or the possible changes to the world or the timeline his presence and alterations would have. This is like the rough draft of where you could go with an isekai in dragon ball. While there is a general story and idea, it's still not very interesting. If you're a big fan of Dragon Ball, you could still give this a try. It's not terrible, it's just very forgettable. Though I would sayit's below average for how bare bones it is even compared to most isekai.
